‘Oh I am so sorry, I wasn’t looking what I was doing’ I say as I bend down to pick up my tablets.
‘That’s ok, oh. It’s you from The Cove’ He replies with a smile so sexy I could melt.
I can not help but blush ‘Haha yeah that is me, weird night that was’ I see him notice my medication as I stuff them in my bag as quickly as possible.
‘Would you like to grab a drink with me?’ He asks out of the blue.
‘What now?’ I can’t help but keep the surprise out of my voice.
‘Yeah, we can go to that little café over the road. I have wanted to come back to the bar but work has been a little buy this week, so have not had the chance. The fact we have bumped into each other means it was meant to happen either way’ He states
I can’t help but feel drawn to him so I just nod my head.
We head in and take a seat at the café’ across the road, there is this weird kind of tension in the air. I have never felt attraction to someone like this before. All I can do is stare at him as a waitress takes our order. I order an iced coffee with a shot of hazelnut syrup and a steak and cheese melt. He orders a tea with honey and he has the same melt as me.
He smiles at me and speaks, bringing me back to my senses.
‘So tell me about yourself Alexandra’
‘Lex please’ I respond which makes him chuckle..
He doesn’t say anything so I start talking, I am not sure what comes over me but I tell him everything about myself. I just know somehow that I can trust him.
I tell him about not having any memories before the age of 10, and the fire. How I grew up with a foster family. How when I was 14 something strange happened and I suffered from a form of mental health and that’s why I was coming out of a therapists office when we bumped into each other. I took some liberties and dodged the full story of my mental health and he didn’t push.
I took a large breath realising I have been rambling on about myself for at least 25 minutes.
I blush and ask him about himself.
He smiles and I can not get over how gorgeous it makes him. His eyes wrinkle ever so slightly and you can see his smile is 100 percent genuine.
'Not much to say really. I am just here in London dealing with some business issues. I live in a little town no one has heard of. I have a large family in a sense and we live together'
I must have pulled a face because he chuckles.
'Something surprises you Lex'
'You don't seem a little town kind of guy’ I say with another blush forming in my cheeks.
I mean he doesn't. He is wearing an expensive looking suit. I can see under his shirt he is packing muscles. His skin is slightly tanned and his eyes are intensely Hazel. He has this confidence that is clear to anyone near him.
'AH. Well I have to have some mysterious element to me' he replies with a smile.
I can’t help but laugh and look at him.
'You really do have interesting eyes he says'
I blush again and thank him. We fall into eating and drinking and having a very relaxed conversations about ourselves more. I tell him about my job, which of course he already knows. He tells me he works in the property market and that he basically flips houses for a profit I find that fascinating and it does explain the wealth, especially if he is good at it.
A waiter comes over to say they are closing soon to change to a dinner service. I go to pay for our drinks and food and he stops me. Putting cash down on the table.
He grabs my hand pulling me up and leads me back outside. We walk for around 5 minutes. I can’t help but follow him. All I can focus on is our hands intertwined, I feel some weird electric shocks going on. We reach the river and he sits down on a bench. I look at my watch and it is a little after 4pm. I can't believe we have been talking for 3 hours.
He smiles down at me and asks
'Do you have to go and get ready for work?'
Is it me or did he sound a little sad at that thought.
I shake my head.
'No. Today is my day off. I had my therapy session and was going to go shopping but time seems to have gone fast. I will probably head to my local shop and get something for dinner'
'Let me take you out to dinner. This lunch has been a lovely date but I want to show you a little hidden gem of a restaurant I know'
A date? Did he call this afternoon a date?
'Erm. Well. I suppose I don't exactly have plans' I get out not really knowing where to look.
He smiles even wider.
‘Great. I have something to do before dinner. I can pick you up around 7.30pm?’
‘Oh thank goddess.. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to change out of this’ waving at my current outfit.
‘You would look good in everything’ he responds but also has an odd look on his face.
The way he said that made me quiver, it sent shockwaves to my core and I felt myself get a little wet.
His eyes are staring at me and start to darken.
I cough and say ‘Thank you. I better head off’
‘Would you like me to walk you home’
‘No. It is ok. I don’t live far. Erm, can I have your number to text you my address for later’
We exchange numbers and before we part ways he touches my cheek and smiles.. He leaves me standing there not sure of myself. I head home in a fog of his scent and presence.
……………………………………………..
‘Dom, I managed to bump into her. They were right she was in the therapists office on Warick Road’ I say to my Beta.
‘That’s great, sooo what happened Alpha’ he reponds, I can’t help but hear the happiness in his voice. We have all been waiting a long time for our Luna and Queen.
‘We had lunch and planned to meet for dinner later, I want Chef Javier’ on my boat at the Thames to cook us a meal if you could get that done ASAP. But there is something else Dom, when I bumped into her, I could smell another Wolf. It was near her and I could sense she was in close proximity to them. Could you check out her therapists office with one of the guys. She also was given tables by this Dr, the packet looked new. I want to know what she has been taking’ I say to him and he knows I have a sense of urgency.
Dom starts to do as I ordered so I start to get ready for my evening with Lex. Her eyes, seeing them the way she was meant to be seen had me so enchanted. Her wearing a contact lense would also explain why only one eye turned purple. Even Midnight my wolf is wagging his tail in excitement at having her in a romantic setting. I don’t just take anyone on my boat, she is worth everything. I want her in my arms so badly, amongst other things. But first I need to win her heart and well to also find out why she doesn’t know about her wolf.
‘Hey M’
‘Yes?’ He snaps
‘Alright snappy, just wanted to ask if you have been able to connect at all with Lex’s wolf’ I say blunty
‘I was busy thinking of mate and you interrupted me! But no, I can sense she is there but nothing else’ he say’s sadly.
‘Ok, well we will get to the bottom of this’ I reassure him.
He doesn’t respond but goes back to his waggy tailed self. I can’t help but smile though, we have both waited a long time for her.
