I had a feeling this was going to be a long session. Oh well, the things I do for my Queen and country. Okay, so I’m being a little over-the-top. What I wouldn’t do to write a good book was a lot closer to the truth.
While they were setting up, I decided to check on how the others were doing in the living room. The children were probably all downstairs watching an old Disney movie, so everything should be under control.
I poured myself a tall club soda with a slice of orange. I was really thirsty and decided I should crack a couple of windows open. With all the people crammed into our small house, it was getting warm.
“Hello, everyone,” I said as I walked into the living room, “Can I get anyone a refresher, coffee, tea, juice, club soda?”
