CHAPTER FOUR

"I'm so sorry Anna, this is all my fault, if I hadn't let him catch me taking food to you, this wouldn't have happened." Danielle rushed out as soon as Darian left for his room. Anna was sobbing, she was wiping her tears but they kept pouring down.

"Let me help you with this." She added and picked up the plate and the sandwich. She proceeded to get a mop and bucket to clean the juice spill.

Anna left for her room to get changed because the sandwich had left stains on her dress. After changing, she went back to the kitchen and insisted on making something else for Darian to eat.

"Are you sure? What if he repeats what he just did?" Danielle blinked at her. Anna smiled.

"It's okay, trust me." She answered and Danielle shrugged. Anna began to cook and soon, she was done and took the food up to Darian's room.

"What do you want?" Darian questioned, glaring at her as she put down the tray of food on his desk. She moved away and bent her neck.

"I felt bad that you didn't like my food earlier, so I came to apologize with something better." She answered soberly.

Darian was confused, he actually loved Anna's food, it was one of the best things he had ever tasted but he had to pretend that he didn't like it just to punish her.

After Anna's father, Samson, ran away with his money, he has been bent on finding him and then making life unbearable for him. But since he already had his daughter all to himself, he decided to vent all of his anger on her instead.

Although Anna was easily the most beautiful woman he had ever seen, Darian had to suppress his attraction and treat her like an item.

"Fine, leave." He said coldly and she nodded before leaving his room.

Barely ten minutes after that, Darian ran out of his room, shouting Anna's name violently and cussing at her. Everyone ran out to find out what was wrong with their boss except Anna who was comfortably on her bed, enjoying his pain.

Anna couldn't stop herself from getting back at Darian. Since he chose to humiliate her, she decided to teach him a lesson by making him an extremely spicy food. His tongue would catch fire if he tasted it.

Anna knew that she would probably get into trouble for what she had done but she was satisfied to see Darian in pain.

The door to her room threw open and Darian entered, breathing heavily with his rage filled eyes piercing Anna's soul. She shivered and curled herself at a corner.

"b***h! You have no idea what you've brought upon yourself by doing this!" He huffed, glaring at her with so much disdain.

"Have you ever thought about what it'd feel like to be motherless?" He smirked, wiping his lips vigorously. Anna's eyes widened and she jumped out of the bed and landed at his feet.

"No! No please!" She immediately began to cry.

"Please don't harm my mother, I'm begging you. I'm sorry!" She cried.

Darian kicked her off his feet and pulled out his phone, he immediately called the man who was keeping Anna's family and instructed them to kill Anna's mother.

"No!! No please! Please, I'll do anything! I'm begging you please!" Anna wailed loudly, bowing down to Darian and he was enjoying every single moment of it.

"Anything?" He smirked.

"I'll.. I'll do anything." She whispered, her tears made it difficult for her to breathe. She nodded.

"Clean my room." He ordered and Anna looked up. She expected a harsher punishment, this was too good to be true.

"Sweep it, mop it, change the sheets and then the bathroom." He instructed and she nodded, getting off the floor and wiping her tears away.

"I'll do it. I'll do it now." She ran out and got straight to work. Darian smiled in satisfaction and left to do some work in his study.

Anna finished cleaning and went to inform Darian that she was done but he told her to start all over again. This happened three more times and that was when she knew that she was in trouble. Darian kept asking her to clean his room over and over again, working her to stupor. She almost collapsed at one point because she wasn't allowed to even taste a drop of water.

Darian finally asked her to stop and gave her some water to drink. Immediately she was done drinking the water, he ordered for a plate of peppers to be given to her. He forced her to sit in front of him and eat the peppers one by one, getting back at her for setting his tongue ablaze.

Anna cried like never before, Darian's actions were inhumane and she developed a strong hatred for him. She was wishing in her heart that he would die untimely so that she could be free.

"Why did you stop? You aren't done with the peppers yet." Darian pointed out when he noticed that she was getting weak and stopping.

"I can't.." she mumbled. She was getting really dizzy.

"Do you think this is a joke!?" Darian barked at her.

"I.. I.." she fell backwards and landed unconscious on the floor.

Darian's eyes widened and he rushed towards her, he picked her up and gently dropped her on his bed. Then, he called for his private doctor who arrived as quickly as he could to attend to her.

"What happened to her? Why is she so hot?" The doctor questioned after seeing the state that Anna was in.

"Um.. she ate spicy food." Darian lied.

"It's okay, she'll be fine.. she's just stressed out. And please, no more spicy food, her body system isn't welcoming it." The doctor advised and Darian nodded.

"You don't have to worry, I'll take care of her, she's my wife after all." He assured the doctor who left after prescribing some drugs.

Darian was amazed at himself, he couldn't stop thinking about the way he rushed to her when she fainted. He would have never done that for anyone. He thought he didn't care whether she died but for some reason, he cared.

He sat by the bed, watching her in her unconscious state, keenly examining her features.

The way her hair rested on her forehead and cheeks, her long lashes, pink lips and perfect skin, she was a beautiful creation and he couldn't deny it. He didn't even realize that he was smiling at her. She made me horny.

He would have taken advantage of her but was afraid to do so. So he just watched her.

After some time, Anna opened her eyes. She flinched when she saw Darian staring down at her.

"Good that you're awake! Hurry up now, you have a lot of work to do." He said, giving her a big shock.

"You've got to be kidding."
