BRIANNA'S POV

I still couldn't believe that Aaron treated me like that, did he really think that I would react the same as the other girls he usually f***s around with? I ignored him for the rest of the evening. When all of us watched Boxing together I was in my own world, it must be really funny that a teenage girl like me is interested in Boxing. I could see from the corner of my eye that Aaron was staring at me every now and then.

Mom and Matthew noticed that something was going, when our guests left I quickly fled to my room and climbed into my bed not even ten minutes later I heard someone knocking on my door.

"Bri I know you're awake" said Mattie.

"Leave me alone I'm tired and want to go to sleep" I said in an irritated voice.

"Not so fast, Bri open the door". I knew Matthew wouldn't let me sleep until I opened the door and talked to him. I got out of my bed and opened the door.

"What is it Mattie? I want to sleep" I said in an irritated voice.

"What happened Brianna" asked Matt in a serious voice.

"What do you mean Matthew?" I asked anxiously.

"Don't play dumb Brianna you know what I'm talking about it's not only about tonight, but it's about what happened in California as well". I swallowed hard and started to panic, unable to look him in the eye at all.

"I don't know what you're talking about" I lied.

Before I could do or say anything else, Matthew yelled for mom. Mom is immediately in my room and out of breath.

"What's wrong, are you okay" mom asked worriedly.

"We're okay mom, I just want to know what happened in California, it's not something randomly, I've noticed it for a while now" said Matthew in a serious voice.

"Mom I told him nothing happened" I replied without looking him in the eyes.

"Oohh really Brianna if nothing really happened then look me in the eyes and tell me that nothing happened". I swallowed hard and swayed around on my feet not looking at his eyes at all.

"That's what I thought, Mom if Bri won't tell what happened in California you will" said Matt in a seriously.

"Mattie" said mom with anxiety.

"Can someone just tell me what the f**k happened" shouted Matthew in anger.

I started to cry and mum glared at Matthew while she came over to comfort me, Matthew looked at me with soften eyes.

"Mattie, it's over just leave it" I sob.

"Please Bri, you're my little sister, please tell me what happened" he begged.

Mum looked at me and asked me with her eyes if it was okay, I nodded my head to let her know it was okay and that she could tell him.

We both knew Mattie was going to lose his s**t when he heard the full story. I just hope that he doesn't do something that he'll regret later.

"Seven years after Brianna and I moved to California, I met a man his name is Clinton" mom said while she stared at nothing.

Matthew said nothing and listened to mom while he stared at her.

"After a few dates, he introduced me to his son Christopher who is four years older than Brianna and two years older than you, we went on few dates and I invited them over for dinner instead of going on another date" mom swallowed hard and remained silent for a while. I fumbled with my hands and Matthew swallowed hard.

Just when Mattie wanted to ask what happened next, mom started to speak again.

"Everything went well, the four of us often went out together, vacationed together; you went at some camp by the way according to your father, we went to the movies together. After a relationship of two years, Clinton asked me to marry him, before you say anything listen first" said mom before Matthew could interrupt her.

"I told him that I would only marry him when he met my other child, my son Matthew. I made him understand that I would only marry him if he and my children get on well, because my children will always come first in my life, he understood that you guys are my lifeline, and if he wants to become apart of my life he just has to accept it " said mom looking at her lap.

"We then decided to take leave at work and go on vacation here in Texas so that he could meet you Mattie, but Clinton had a project and could only take leave in a month's time," says mom with a sad sigh.

I moved closer to mom and put my head on her shoulder, as she threw her arms around my shoulders. Matthew moved closer to us and sat on the corner of my bed as he turned his body towards us to continue listening to mom.

"I didn't realize it at the time, but I made a big mistake when I allowed Clinton and Christopher to move in with us, and my child had to pay for my mistakes," cries mom hysterically.

"Sshh mom, it's not your fault" I consoled.

"But if I didn't" mom cried so much that she couldn't even finish speaking.

"Mattie, I think that's enough" I say with certainty.

"No it's okay Bri, I'm okay I'll finish telling the story" says mom.

"Are you sure mom?" I asked with uncertainty.

"Mmmm".

"Okay mom, but remember Clinton is a good man". Matthew frowned but said nothing.

"Two weeks went by after they moved in and everything went well or so I thought, I never even knew that something was going on and the worst part is for how long did it go on and how many times has it happened, I started to notice that something was wrong with my child she started to refuse to do things with us and retreated to herself." said mom as she looked far away.

I began to see the story in my head as if it were happening instantly.

"I asked Brianna what was wrong, what was going on and she said nothing was wrong, but I know my child I could tell something was going on" I just lowered my head further as mom spoke.

"The next day I decided I was going to leave work a little earlier, and I didn't let the kids know, I'm glad I didn't otherwise I would never have known what my baby had to go through" cries mum as I try to console her, Mattie swallowed hard and move closer to snuggled with us as I started to rub her back.

"Nobody heard me come into the front door, and now I know why, I heard my child screaming and begging" mom cried harder.

"Stop Chris, stop, please don't, I'm begging you, not again, Chris, please, not again, I'm begging you, that's what my baby screamed over and over and over again" says mom with tears running down her cheeks Mattie tensed, the more mom explained the more Mattie tensed.

"I barged into Brianna's room, and what I saw made all the color drain from my face, and a look of horror appeared, Chris on top of Brianna with absolutely no clothes on" Mattie jumped up, started cursing and ranting, all of a sudden he started hitting the walls with his fists.

I jumped up and tried to calm him down. "Mattie calm down it's over and done with, it happened" I beg.

"How can you say that Bri that asshole he ra-, h-he ra-" said Mattie with a broken voice and tears running down his cheeks.

"I know Mattie it's horrible believe me I know, I'm just glad mom came when she did, so I don't have to go through that anymore" I say in a broken voice.

"Why didn't you say anything before Brianna, why?" shouted Mattie.

"Matthew Antonio White don't yell at your sister like that" mum scolded.

"I'm sorry Bri" Matthew said in pity.

"It's okay Mattie, I knew you'd lose your s**t if you ever found out what really happened" I said with a half laugh. Matt tried to smile but couldn't get it to show of his face.

"Mom what happened you know afterwards?" asked Matthew anxiously.

"I immediately tried to get him off of Brianna, after a lot of struggles from his side and him realizing that one of the adults are present, he immediately pulled himself out of Brianna and got off of her and stormed out of her room. I immediately called Clinton after Chris left Brianna's room and told him that he better get home right now" sobbed mom.

"Within ten minutes Clinton arrived at home, the moment he saw my worried and terrified face, he knew something bad had happened, I told him what happened, what his son did and has been done to my daughter and that it had been going on for two weeks" said mom in a cracked voice.

"Clinton was hysterical and assaulted Christopher and he had him locked up," says mom in a sad voice.

Before mum could say anything further, Matthew interrupted her "I'm glad he did it because if I ever catch that f****er or if I ever see that f****er, he won't breathe another day" said Mattie angrily.

"Mattie please he's not worth it, I refuse to lose you to someone like him" I beg.

"I'm not promising that I won't do anything Brianna, but believe me Brianna when I see him I'm not just gonna stand there and do nothing, no f***ing way, he did unspeakable things to my baby sister" says Matthew with determination.

"I know Mattie, I know, don't you think I know what you will do and I f***ing love you for it" I answered with a raised voice.

Mom went on with the story.

"I immediately left Clinton, and resigned from my job, I took Brianna and moved back home" says mom.

"I'm glad you guys moved back home mom" said Mattie.

"Bri I'm sorry this horrible thing happened to you, I'm sorry I wasn't there to protect you from that monster" said Mattie with a broken and cracked voice.

"It's not your or moms fault Mattie, I know you will always try to protect me, you are the best big brother I could ever ask for" I say with gratitude.

"I love you Bri".

"I love you too Mattie".

"And I love you guys" says mom with a laugh.

"And we love you too mommy" say Matt and I at the same time.

We all just laughed after the intense conversation we had. Mom decided to take a shower and go to bed, she kissed us goodnight and went to her room where I know for certain that she was going to further cry her eyes out.

Mattie demanded that he will sleep next to me for tonight.

Mattie went to take a shower and I followed afterwards, we got into bed together and I lay in his arms with my head on his chest and immediately fell asleep.

I know it sounds weird for a brother and a sister to sleep like that, but that's what we had always done after a intense serious conversation or if one of us were hysterical, we would sleep in the same room and in the same bed, it has always made us feel better.

"Bri before you fall asleep, will you come with the to the boxing ring?" asked Matt with a little bit of worry and anxiety in his voice.

I jumped up when I heard his word "Matt your boxing?" i asked with a bit of curiosity and a bit of excitement.

"Yes, but don't tell mom" admits Matt.

"My lips are sealed" I replied with a smile.

"Okay, so will you come?" asked Matt.

"Absolutely" I replied with a lot of excitement.

Matt only laughed "okay, Bri calm down lets go to sleep".

"Goodnight Mattie, love you".

"Goodnight Bri, love you too".

Not long after that we both fell asleep with ten minutes.
