Monday knocked on Lisa's door faster than she expected, and she was secretly anticipating what was to come.
As she walked into her office and shut the door, it was pushed open, and then she turned around to see Karla.
She sighed and then turned around. It was too early to get pissed off, but she tried to hold herself back from sending Karla out.
"Good morning, Lisa. " Karla smiled as she walked into the office.
"Miss Carter to you . We're not close enough for you to causally call me by my name, " Lisa replied as she dropped her bag on her office chair.
"Oh. Sorry, Lisa. " Karla looked down and clapsed her hand together.
At this point, she wasn't trying to hide her disrespect. Lisa rolled her eyes and sat down, and then there was a knock on the door.
"Come in," Lisa announced.
A man walked in, holding a cup of coffee and a box with a single rose on it.
"Miss Carter?" The man asked, closing the distance between them.
"Yes?" Lisa asked, pushing her chair back as she stood up.
"A delivery for you." The man dropped it in the table and left.
Karla's eyes followed him as he left the office, and then she snapped her head back to Lisa, then spotted a note on the box and snatched it out.
"Be mine? Who's S." Karla read out, then Lisa snatched it away from her.
Lisa scanned through the note. It was just a good morning text, but she knew it was from Seth.
She didn't expect him to start in the morning, and she didn't expect coffee and a box of chocolate.
"Oh. I'm sorry. It's not my place. " Karla pouted.
"Exactly," Lisa snapped.
"What's going on here?" Todd announced himself from the door, staring at Karla's movements with a furrowed brow.
"I just came to talk to Lisa a bit. " Karla replied with a smile that just irritated Lisa.
Todd scanned Karla, then shifted his eyes to Lisa and eyed the box on the table.
"We have a meeting with the CEO. He wants to talk about the last project we worked on." Todd replied, then walked away with Karla following behind.
Lisa grabbed the coffee and slowly followed behind them.

Lisa dropped her tablet and her coffee on the table. She quickly connected her tablet to the projector that was placed in the middle of the table, and then Seth walked in.
Despite their secret meeting, she still had to impress him at work to get a promotion. If not, people would think she used their relationship to get to where she was.
"Let's begin. " Seth announced while he dropped his tablet on the table and turned his attention to Lisa.
"Yes. The budget set for the mansion at Lake Mali was about thirty million dollars." Lisa started.
"Mr Russell wanted an interiordesign, similar to the design we made for the president's lake house. "
"That cost almost five hundred million." Seth cut her off.
"Yes. We were able to convince him otherwise. Myself and Miss Gerald. " Lisa replied, gesturing to Karla, who gave a soft smile towards Seth.
"Well done." He replied.
"What did he get for his budget?" Seth asked, turning back to Lisa.
She tapped on her tablet and displayed various pictures of a lake house and the massive rooms in each slide.
Seth leaned forward, then glanced at Lisa.
"You did all this for thirty million. " Seth asked.
"With the help of the designer in my team, we were able to find some interior designs that had the classy features he was looking for but at a cheaper price." Lisa replied, letting out a deep breath.
"Impressive. " Seth leaned back on his chair , and his eyes went down to the coffee on the table.
He timed it perfectly so that she could drink it while it was hot, but the meeting kept her away from it.
Lisa noticed his eyes then grabbed the coffee, and took a sip. Seth's eyes trailed back to hers, which was already glued to his, then he turned away.
"Any other reports -" Seth started.
"Do u not have any manners anymore. Drop that cup of coffee, the CEO is speaking. " Todd raised his voice slightly at Lisa.
"Yet, you are the one who interrupted me." Seth countered Todd.
"I'm sorry, sir, it was just disrespectful. No one else came into the meeting with a cup of coffee. " Todd apologised.
"And who are you to speak on it when i didn't. I didn’complain. Did i, Mr..?" Seth trailed off, waiting for a response from Todd.
"Huffman, sir," Todd replied, clenching his fists as he watched Lisa take another sip of coffee.
"Since there's nothing left to discuss. You're all dismissed." Seth pointed out.
Todd pushed himself, shooting a glare at Lisa as he grabbed his tablet on the table.
"Miss Carter." Seth called out to Lisa.
"Sir?" Lisa replied.
Todd and Karla glanced at Lisa and then at Seth as they slowly walked towards the door.
"See me in my office. " Seth replied as he walked out of the meeting room.
"Yes, sir." Lisa replied as she grabbed her tablet and followed behind him.
She held back the smile that was tugging at her lips and the curiosity of why Seth wanted to see her.
Whike Todd and Karla glanced between themselves and the door.
"I'm sure the CEO wants to give her a strict warning about disrespect. He didn't look too happy. " Karla shook her head slowly.
"Poor Lisa," She added.
"You really have a good heart, Karla. But she deserves a little scolding, she shouldn't have done that." Todd stated, grabbing Karla's hand.
"But she just wanted to get a taste before it got cold. It was a gift from her lover." Karla pouted.
"Lover?" Todd questioned.
"Or an admirer, she got it with a note and box of chocolate with a pretty rose." Karla smiled.
"What did the note say?" Todd turned around, still holding Karla's hand as they walked towards the door.
"Be mine? From the initial S." Karla responded. "I'm so glad she's moving on." She added.
"Yeah." Todd replied as he glanced towards the direction Lisa followed.
