Kate is arriving today. She informed Chris that yesterday when she called from Los Angeles, telling him that she was going to be moving back to the East Coast for good. Chris apologized for not being able to help, but Kate as usual shrugged it off like it was nothing. Kate is an independent woman. She takes care of everything herself, along with everybody else’s. She’s kind like that.
But Kate asked to meet the day after she arrived, which means tomorrow. Chris offered to pick her up from the airport but she refused with thanks, claiming he has so many things on his plate already. True, still it hurts a little, knowing that you’re not wanted. Chris is busy today. Especially since he makes a point to find the time to see Kate tomorrow.
