Would You Like Some Blood With Your Coffee? Sierras POV    A small smile crept along my face with the August heat filling my room. It was peaceful. Wait... It shouldn't be that way! I always wake up late. Have I finally mastered waking up early?     "Sweaty! You're going to be late," my mom shouted from downstairs!     Ahh there it was. My own personal alarm clock. I slowly opened my eyes and rolled over. I looked over at my clock. Only 30 minutes behind schedule. Astounding! Thats a new record.     "Hurry up! This bacon isn't going to eat itself is it?"     With that, I jolted out of my bed and bolted down the stairs. My long black hair following behind me.     "Oh would you look at that. She's alive!" my mom chuckled under her breath.     "Yea yea. One of these days you will regret saying that," I said pointing a finger at her.     I hopped on the chair that was pulled out from the dining table. I took a swift whiff of the heavenly smell of bacon before devouring it.     "Careful! You might just eat your fingers if you continue to eat like that!"     "Oh you sure do like the impossible things in life, don't you Janet."     "Did you just call me Janet? I am nothing like your fathers sister."     "He's not my father and you sure about that?"     "Young lady get ready for work. I need that paycheck and before I forget, use proper grammar sweaty."     "Psh... yea ok."     I sat up from my chair and made my way to my room. My mom knew not to bring him up but yet she did. He didn't deserve to be recognized as a person, let alone a father. He was never there for us when he was here. I shook my head trying to erase the thought. I dramatically swung my closet door open and took 8 minutes to decide on an outfit. I don't exactly know why. I mean, I'm just going to cover it up with an apron. You see, I work at Bennies Cafe. If you couldn't tell by the name its a coffee shop. I work at this place called The Center. Its just an area where a bunch of shops form a half circle. It opens in an hour and a half. I have to be there in 30 minutes. Im the first one there, literally the first. Which is very inconvenient for me, I love my sleep.     I head over to the mirror and look at myself from head to toe. My glossy hair pulled back into a loose ponytail. the long waves hitting the middle of my back. I cherished my hair. It was one of the few things my mother gave me. Besides that and my eyes, I look like his side of the family. My large green eyes flickered towards my outfit. Not to toot my own horn but, I looked pretty good in a simple Tee and dark blue jeans. I put on my apron and hat and my name tag.     Where are my manners? I haven't even introduced myself! My names Sierra Cortez and I'm a 16 year old teenage girl. The man I'm related to is hispanic while my moms white. Due to his absence, I have no culture.     I walked down the staircase and made my way to my job. Alex's POV    I made my way to The Center nervously. I was mentally preparing myself to ask Sierra to the Homecoming dance. I didn't know why I was so nervous, I mean we were friends. I internally groaned. I didn't want to be just friends. I wanted something more. But, I knew she didn't see me that way and she never would.      "Sierra, would you go to Hoco with me? No, no no. Too basic... My love-what the f**k! Who am I? Prince charming? Ok Alex, deep breaths. She will say yes."     I started up the hill when I saw an unfamiliar white van. A couple of men were standing around it. Sierra was there too. She looked bored and annoyed. Ahh same old Sierra. Beautiful without even trying. I snapped out of my thought when I saw the man wrap a cloth around her mouth. A loud gasp escaped my lips, alerting one of the men. I quickly hid behind a bush. What the f**k just happened?
