Chapter 8 - What is a human?

"Are you, not a human?"

Hearing that Kion stopped his activities and went quiet. Aleisha herself was also quiet, but truthfully she was now very panicked. Her heart beating so fast and her sweat pouring from her face.

"He not gonna suddenly attack me, right?! My gloves will protect me, right?! It is should be protecting me from evil creatures, after all, so I will be alright!" She thought all that and slowly her heart was resting at ease.

After being quiet for some time being, Kion set his eyes on Aleisha and then open his mouth, "I don't know."

"Huh?" Aleisha was surprised by his answer, which she thinks not the right answer to her question.

"So, is that mean you're a human or not?"

"I don't know," Kion answer it with a poker face. He then turn his face from Aleisha and thus continue making more food.

"Why you do not know?"

"Because I do not know, what is a human? And what makes someone human?" Said Kion calmy.

Aleisha frowning because doesn't understand what he talking about. Maybe because she keep getting an answer that not she want, she forgets about her fear. With a little higher voice than before, she said, "what do you mean by that?! You don't know what is a human?! That's Impossible!"

"That's the truth, and if you want another answer, maybe you should explain to me, what is a human?" Said Kion calmy after consuming some skewers meat.

"Explain it to you, I think I can do that, But first... " She glanced at the rest of the skewers meat, and in low voice she said, "can I, eat some of it?"

"You can eat all of it," said Kion any change of expression on his face.

"Really?! Thank you very much!" Said Aleisha with a bright smile on her face. Without hesitation, she grabs some of it and consumes it very quickly. But because of her eating very fat, he coughing pretty hard.

"Here some water, drink it." Said Kion with a water bottle in his hand.

Aleisha quickly grabbed it and drink that.

After it, she looked at Kion and then said, "thank you."

Kion nodded and then looked at his bigger bag. Aleisha seems doesn't mind it and thus continues eating for more than ten minutes she finally eats all of the skewer's meat.

"You're already done, so then can you explain to me, what is a human?" Said Kion with a flat tone. He then handed Aleisha a gray handkerchief.

"Sure!" Aleisha took that handkerchief and then used it. After a while, she then said, "it is simple, human is like me and maybe you!"

Kion tilted his head and then said, "what do you mean by that?"

"Well, you know have two hands, two legs, and the other else that we have."

"So, that's mean the ghouls is also a human?"

"Of course not! How could be you think that those creatures are human?!"

"They two hands, two legs, and other features that we have, so they should be also be considered as a human, right?"

"No! They are different from humans, they are monsters!"

"Why like that?"

"Because humans don't human."

"So like that," said Kion in low voice. He then fall into deep thought and thinks about every Aleisha word then not cost much time, he already knows the answer to Aleisha question.

"Is that what human means, that means I am a human."

"Is that so?"

"Yeah, that because I don't eat humans and I have physical features just like you. If you don't believe me, I can show my body to you." Kion then gets up and starts to take off his armor.

"No-no-no! You can not do that!" Said Aleisha with a high voice while shaking her hand fast.

Kion tilted his head and then said, "why I can not do that?"

"Because boy and girl can not see each other naked!"

"So like that." Kion cancel taking off the armor, and sit down again.

"What are you doing?" Said Aleisha in a low voice while dropping her face down. She then lifts her head again and then looked right at Kion thus said, "but I trust you, after all, you already helped me more than one time."

"I see," Kion reply it calmy without many expressions.

"Well then, now let's move quickly, so we can out from this forest before tomorrow night." Kion touch his right hand to the ground and make some water get out from the ground. He then used those water to extinguish the bonfire.

"You know how to get out from this forest?!" Said Aleisha with a high voice. After several events that happen, getting out from this forest is something she really wants.

Kion noded as her question answer that make her expression become more bright. She then quickly get up and then with a high voice she said, "What else we waiting for, lets move fast so we can quickly get out from this forest."

"No, we walk slowly so we can save energy if anything happens."

"Ok, we move slow and quick! So we can immediately get out from this forest safely!"

"Just follow me and don't do something unnecessary."

"Ok! No problem, I will do that!"

Kion just nodded watching her attitude that really different from before. He get up then turn back and thus walking ahead with Aleisha following not far behind him.
