Chapter 6 - Magic Glove (2)

"They not coming again this time huh." Said Aleisha while looking at the moon from her room window. She was now sitting in front of her dressing table which was near the window while still wearing the same clothes at the party.

This morning her tenth anniversary was being. At that party, all persons in the house, close relatives, and even some of her distant relatives came.

The party went lively with a variety of entertainment complete with lots of delicious food and drinks. But she is not really happy at that time, it is simply because both of her parents are not coming.

"Well is not the first time, I am should be already used to it and don't really think about it." She said it with a bitter smile on her face.

She then get up and walked towards the cupboard for changing her clothes. But suddenly there is a knocking sound on the door.

"Young miss are you still awake?"

Aleisha turns her attention to the door and then said, "who is that?"

"It is me, Axwell." Said the person behind the door.

"what is it? you don't usually come at this time."

"Sorry to bother you, young miss. But I have packets for you, from your parents."

Her eyes widened and then she said, "you may come in, Axwell."

"Excuse me., young miss"

The door is opened and a butler with gray hair and glasses came into the room. He was the one who started the party before, the head servants from the house of Wylen. More importantly, there are two packages that it size not really big in his hand.

"Put that on the bed and you could go."

"Ok, young miss." He does what Aleisha said. Putting the packages on the bed, and then after bowed down and saying good night, he get out from this room.

"At least they remember my birthday this time," said Aleisha with a low voice and a little smile on her face.

"Let's see, what gift they gift me this time." She walked and then sit on the bed beside the two packages from her parents.

She quickly opens the first package and found a book. That book has a brown cover and a text with yellow color on it.

"Trail of nobody, what kind of book is this?" Said Aleisha. She then opens the book and reads a few pages before closing again that book.

"Mom always knows what I like," she said that with a big smile on her face. After reading a few pages, she concludes if that book is a story about a heroic journey.

After placing that book, she then opens the second packages and found a box. The box has a decoration of two white roses in the top left and bottom right corners that are almost touching, but separated by a blue crystal between them.

She doesn't really mind that box decoration and quickly opens it. Inside it, she found just one white glove with the same decorations as that box, the two white roses, and a blue crystal.

She picks it up and looks at it closely for a while. She then said, "why I think have seen this before?"

After a few seconds look it, she looked closely in that box and found out a letter. She pick it up and then read it.

"Dear my daughter Aleisha, happy tenth anniversary! I am sorry because ca not come, but there is an important matter in the capital that I have to deal with immediately."

"So I am not important, huh," said Aleisha after finishing the first paragraph.

"But I still don't forget your birthday, that why I send you this special glove that I found in ruin from an ancient palace. This glove has the power to give fear to all evil and attract all good in the world, so remember to wear it all the time."

After finishing reading it, Aleisha looked again in that glove. She then equips it and thus places the box and book in the safe place, after that she goes to the bed and close her eyes.
