“ Why is there a cut on his neck??”. he asked with rage in his voice ,

“it's cut from the equipment “

the nurse replied with a shaky voice trying to save herself from Jaja’s wrath.

I laid there as they took my boy away.

I wished I didn't come to the Hidden Grove no one would have taken my baby away from me.

After few days I was paid 22 Thousand dollars and was blindfolded as they take me out of the building, the same van, the same driver took me out of the woods with the threat of being killed if I mentioned what happened to anyone.

When I got back to school Ruth has graduated and moved to another city to find job.

I went to the caller and called my parents, they were so happy to hear my voice they have been so worried about me,

since they haven't heard from me for 7 months. I told them i have been extremely busy and cooked up a lie and they believed me.

I continued with my studies though I have to resit another year.

I took my life so seriously not to make another mistake,l never mentioned to anyone what happened at the Hidden Grove.

I graduated,my parents was so proud of me.

I moved to another city to find a job and I got a job at a cooperative company.

I met Jack during a seminar conducted by our company he was sited right beside me.

Immediately after the seminar he approached me , at first he complimented my outfit and I thanked him we had conversations about the seminar and we exchanged contact.

We got talking, he asked me to be his girlfriend which I agreed because he is a cool guy few months later he proposed to me I was the happiest.

At least I finally found love. I bought my parents a new house few months after our wedding I was so proud of myself I thought I would be a failure but God was merciful.

“Every orphanege we try to adopt a baby they’ll turn us down because of your dirty history, look at us now we have been childless for 3 years”

Mrs Lucas said angrily to her husband.

Mr Lucas, Paul's father, owner of Shillings bank had traces of money laundering and since Paul there only son died they have been looking for a child to adopt.

So they won't remain childless but every orphanege they try, they will be turned down because of Mr Lucas history of money laundering and this made his wife so angry and annoyed with him.

“I know this orphanege that you can get baby without them checking your background as far as you pay enough money”

Mrs Lucas friend told her

“ please take me to the place she replied almost immediately”

Then her friend took her to this Rusty, Dusty old looking orphanege down town.

As they get into the orphanege mrs Lucas sighted a little boy about two years who looks almost exactly like their son Paul when he was a toddler, we would go for this one Mrs Lucas said to the lady in charge.

“Oh this little boy? His parents died of car accident and his aunt brought him here saying she can't take care of him besides the boy is not the biological child of her sister.

According to her she said her sister adopted him from an unknown orphanege, The woman said to Mrs Lucas.

Mr and Mrs Lucas adopted the little boy and went home with him, they loved him so much because he looks so much like their son.

Government found out about the hidden grove by the Forest guard and Forest Management group.

There was fire outrage between the masked men and the police and some of the masked men were shot, everyone who works there was arrested, some of the girls ran away while others were arrested. Jaja disappeared and was nowhere to be found.

I was at the gas station filling my car when a black Lamborghini stopped to fill petrol.

A young man stepped out to fill the car.

The woman at the back rolled down the glass as she waited for the driver.

It was Paul's mother. I didn't want to say hi to her, but on a second thought, I just decided to.

I went to her and introduced myself, she was shocked; she saw how rich I looked,she thought I would remain poor forever, but to her surprise, I am rich and successful.

She invited me for dinner at her house on the weekend.

“She now invites me for dinner because I am rich,” I said to myself as I zoomed off.

On Saturday evening, I went to Mrs. Lucas's house, few other friends of hers were there.

As she introduced me to them as her son's ex-girlfriend, she explained how I was a good girlfriend to her son Paul, how I stayed with him throughout when he was in a coma before his demise.

She now realises my good deeds because I am successful.

“Mommy!!

A little boy came running to Mrs. Lucas as she’

“Mommy!!

“How was your outing this evening darling?”

Mrs Lucas asked him

“It was fun”

The boy replied with happiness on his face

“Ok go to your room am coming”

As the boy turned I noticed a cut on his neck.

I immediately remembered my baby,I have been praying secretly to meet him one day.

I asked Mrs Lucas about the little boy and she told me she and her husband adopted him.

After the dinner I went home and decided to tell my husband about my past life, I thought he would get angry with me but he didn't, instead he encouraged me to ask Mrs Lucas to give details surrounding his adoption.

I visited Mrs Lucas again and asked her about his adoption, she explained everything to me thinking I also wanted to adopt a child. I went to the orphanage I asked for the boy’s record but The woman in charge refused to give me his records.

I gave her some cash and she handed me the record and even gave me the aunt's address.

I visited the Aunt and she explained to me that her sister adopted the little boy from an unknown orphanage.

“Do you know where the orphanage is located?” I asked with curiosity written all over my face.

“I don't know but I can remember my sister said she adopted the baby from a man called jaja”

Tears filled my eyes and I sobbed like a baby the woman was confused why I was crying, I just thanked her and left

I went to Mr and Mrs Lucas house immediately and luckily they were at home,

I told them how I found out I was pregnant after Paul's demise, how I went to the Hidden Grove so I won't be an embarrassment to my parents and how I traced the little boys record and he turns out to be my son.

At first they didn't believe me, we ran a test and he turned out to be my baby. I hugged him tightly crying at the hospital, I have missed him so much

Paul's parents ran a test too and it was a match with the little boy, they can't believe they adopted their grandchild.

I was so happy, I finally meet with my son and not only that Paul's parents was more happy being with their grandson
