Ashley Gustavo POV
'Meet me at the rooftop of the hospital' Came a text from Mario. I sighed briefly then stood up from the bench and turned to Mrs. Brown.
"Excuse me, ma'am. Duty calls. I'll check on you later," I bowed to her, and she replied to me with a smile and nod. I left for the rooftop with many thoughts running through my mind. Why did he want to see me? Does it have anything to do with what happened today?
"You won't find out until you get there, Ashley," I reminded myself as I finally took the stairs that led up to the rooftop.
I saw him leaning over the rail when I arrived at the rooftop, and I guess he sensed my presence because he immediately turned and faced me.
"You are here?" He forced a smile at me, and I nodded as I counted my steps toward him.
