WHEN MCNAMARA STOPPED his car in front of Bryony’s shop, the armed vehicles were just arriving. This time, James didn’t complain about the speed. He was quite grateful that McNamara had such good reflexes and could drive so fast.
The DCI climbed down the car and was welcomed by the officer in charge with the armed unit.
“Your detective told me you were on your way here, sir. I’m Liam McGuire,” he shook McNamara’s hand first and then the DS’s. “I think we need a negotiator here so that we could free the people inside,” the officer told McNamara.
