CHASING RAIN: A Celestial Ambition

I woke up because of my alarm clock. “Oh shucks, I'm already late, and this is my first day,” I sighed. Habang ako ay naliligo, biglang nagsalita ang aking ina. “Celesty!” my mother’s voice in the morning always cracks my head. “Yesss, Maaa?” “Late ka na naman, bilisan mo na!” My mother made a lunchbox for my siblings, so as the older sister, I should pack my own food. But first, let me introduce myself. Hi everyone! I'm Celesty Aga, the eldest sister of four. My mother is a professional teacher while my father is a seaman. I am 23 years old and a college student, studying Hotel Management. But if you ask me, I'd rather take Culinary. I have two friends: Kennedy Cullen and Claudia Maria Channel Alessia Cornel. I call them Ken and Claudia. I prefer calling Claudia by her full name because it's longer than my patience. Naglakad ako papuntang school since malapit lang naman, and habang naglalakad ako, may kotse na biglang bumusina. “AYYY ANAK KA NANG NINUNONG KUMIKINANG!! ” sigaw ko dahil sa gulat. Ngunit pagtawa lamang ang narinig ko at kilala ko kung kaninong tawa iyon. “KENNN!! TARAN--” Hindi ko natapos ang aking sasabihin dahil paglingon ko, bumungad sa akin ang mukha ni Ken na nakangiti na para bang dadalhin ang aking anino sa liwanag. Ang kanyang mukha na labis na napakahalimuyak at ang kanyang mga mata ay kasing kislap ng ilog na natatapatan ng araw. It looked like a dream. KEN POV: I saw a girl walking on the road and I already knew who she was. It's such a good morning if I can piss her off. After I beeped, Celeste screamed like a frog, and I knew she was pissed off because she called my name so loud even without looking at me. When she did look, she stopped talking for too long, just staring at me and smiling like a monkey. I don’t know what she's thinking, but I don’t like her staring at me; it’s so irritating. “Celest? Are you alright? Mukha kang gorilla na kakapanganak,” and I burst out laughing. End of KEN’S POV.. CELESTE POV: “Tsnginaa talaga Celeste, bakit ka kasi nakatitig?” bulong ko sa sarili ko. “Gorilla? Sa ganda ng make-up ko, tatawagin mo lang akong gorilla? Feel ko ikaw yung hindi okay e. Bahala ka na nga diyan!” Pasigaw kong sambit na may halong kaartehan. “Get in the car, Celest,” he told me before I walked past him. OHMYGADDDD THIS IS ITTT, TALABA! “Okay,” I answered coldly, like duh, I am a Filipina. We both entered the room since he's my classmate, and I saw Claudia looking so pretty, sitting in front of the board. ANO KA BA CELESTE, HINDI KA BADING, OKAY? PERO KASIII. “Hmm, she’s so goddess” I whispered. I was shocked because Claudia was running towards me to hug me, and in my shock, I hugged her and kissed her! I DID A VERY EMBARRASSING MOVE BECAUSE CLAUDIA LOOKED SO SHOCKED ?? End of Chapter 1
