Chapter 2

Anna's POV

Anna wakes up, wake up Anna. What is it Hope I just want to die? NO, you cannot die Anna we need to go, NOW, they forgot to lock the door get up and run. We cannot do that we are too weak Hope, we have not eaten anything for days and they just punished us. "That was not punished, that was just torture! We can escape trust me, I have enough energy to shift we can make it please, just trust me, if you can get us out of this room and house, I will do the rest. I listened to Hope and stood up and stumbled to the door, she was right it was open, I stumbled to the hallway and up the stairs, once I got upstairs I bowed my head and made a walk to the kitchen which held the back door that led to the woods, when I got to the kitchen door I was stopped by a pack member, "hey slut, what are you doing where is our food we are hungry go and make us some food, NOW!". I halted at his voice scared for what to do, "yes sir, immediately sir" and I continued my walk to the back door, once I reached it, I opened it and stumbled further, once I reached the woods I started to run. It did not matter where I went if it was far away from that hell, I was fine with it. It did not take long before I heard howls behind me which alarmed me that they figured out I got out I started to run faster, but I knew I could not hold on for long I had not eaten in days and I was just tortured and due to the amount of silver and wolfsbane in my system I was not able to heal properly. I kept running and when I saw the border, I could not be happier. But then I heard its paws, a lot of paws on the ground heading in my direction. "Let me take over" Hope yelled at me, I was exhausted from the run and the torture so gave in. As I gave Hope control to shift, this was our third shift since we first shifted, it hearts bad and I let out a small whimper, I could remember the first time I shifted.

Flashback

It was two years after the abuse had gotten worse and the rape had started, I was around nine and the pack had decided to play whit their favourite toy, me. Usually, wolf’s shift when they are sixteen. But I shifted when I was nine, the pack was using me as a punching back until they ripped my clothes off and started to force themself on me, one by one. I lost count over how many men forced themself into me but after some time I felt this pain, like all my bones were breaking at once the men backed up from me and began to shout after some minutes that felt like hours the pain stopped, and I was standing in my wolf, and that is when I first heard her Hope, she calmed me down and told me everything was going to be alright, shortly after she said that I felt a sting in the back of my neck, someone drugged me and I blacked out. When I woke up one of my worst punishments was given to me which lasted for weeks. I still have my biggest scars from that time.

End of Flashback

While I kept running and running I took back the control from Hope so I would be the only one feeling pain and I crossed the border, but they kept coming after me so I kept pushing to go faster, the trees were flashing by while I kept running, but I was not running fast enough they were getting closer and that is when Hope took control and forced me back into my mind, I could see and hear everything that happened and we were going faster and faster until we could not hear them anymore, but we kept running. We ran for days only stopping to drink some water, I was never thought how to hunt or fight, and I did not know what I was doing, I only knew I survived I had not eaten anything for days maybe even weeks, except some roadkill or something that was left behind. I came across a lake I saw myself in the lake, I did not recognize myself, I had only seen Hope once we were a small wolf, we had the size of a pup, we had a small nose and big blue eyes and we had white fur whit black paws, it looked like we were wearing socks, but what I saw was nothing like that. My fur was brown, black, and red, and my eyes looked tired, without life and I could see my ribs through my fur. "We look like s**t," Hope said to me. It made me chuckle. I was tired and everything hurts. "Do you think we lost them, Hope?" I asked. "I do not know but I hope so". She answered. "Do you think we can rest for a bid?" I asked. " I think we can let’s find a cave or something we can sleep in". I went to look for something that we could rest in. Suddenly I felt a shudder going through me. I ignored it thinking I was just cold, but after a few minutes I heard paws, I panicked and started running again but I was not strong enough and tripped, they were close so I hid underneath a tree and covered my eyes with my paws, but I could not stop shivering and I hoped that they could not smell me. A few seconds later I heard them growling and sniffing, I took my paws from my eyes, and that is when I saw them, I did not know who they were, but they were huge! One of them shifted, and he was naked, so I covered my eyes back up and that is when he spoke. "We know you are under that tree root come out now and we will go easy on you". I did not believe him, everyone who said that did not mean it, so I scooted back more. he got angry, angry I could see it on his face. But then I heard this big and powerful growl, he must be the alpha I thought. Then I smelt something amazing, it smelt like fresh bread and freshly mowed grass, it almost let me out of my hiding place, then I saw where the smell was coming from, or better who, a big black wolf joined the group of wolfs. He shifted, and there stood the most beautiful man I had ever seen. He had jet black hair that was short, but not too short, simply perfect, and this beautiful grey almost silver eyes, he looked like he was a little over 6'7 much bigger than my 5'2 and I scooted back even more and covered my paws again. "Get away from her he growled". Oh, goddess, he wanted to kill me himself I thought, and a small whimper escaped me and I peeked between my paws, his head snapped back at me and his eyes softened, I noticed he was wearing shorts but his eight pack was clearly showing and the shorts were hanging low so I could see his V-line. He came closer to me and lowered himself down to my level. "Can you come out from under there little one, we will not hurt you, I promise as the alpha of this pack". I did not know what to do. "I think we can trust him, Anna, I feel this pull towards him, I think he is our mate" Hope said. "That does not mean we can trust him, Hope, what if he wants to hurt us like alpha Max and his pack?" I asked her. "I do not know but I do not think he will do something like that to us" she answered. "Alright I think we can come out then but stay alert, alright?" I did not get a response, but I knew she heard me. I tried to get out of my hiding place but when I had my paws out, I started to get dizzy and when only my tail was in, I blacked out. the last thing I remember is floating away while feeling kind of safe.

Marcus POV

My beta James mind linked me that there was a rogue was cross passing and that he would take care of it. After then minutes I got I mind link from James that they had a situation, the rogue was hiding below a tree root and refused to get out. I got off from my desk and shifted when I was stripped out of my clothes and ran to my beta. When I was getting closer, I smelt the most amazing thing I ever smelt in my whole life, roses and cinnamon buns. "MATE, MATE" my wolf Dexter shouted. I ran faster and when I reached them, I let out a powerful growl. I could smell the fear of my little mate. "Get away from her" I growled to them. everyone backed up, that is when I heard a small whimper and my head shouted to look at her, and I walked towards her en lowered myself down to her level, she must be really small that she can fit underneath that. "Can you come out from under there little one, we will not hurt you, I promise as the alpha of this pack", I told her this in the softest voice I had, it took some time, but she carefully came crawling from underneath the root. When she was almost completely out, she fell and did not get back up. I grabbed her and started running towards the pack hospital mind linking my pack doctor to get ready for my little mate, she weighed nothing and she was covered in blood and dirt, she looked like she had been through a lot when I reached the hospital I ran to Daniel our pack doctor and he let me to a room so I could lay her down on a bed, the second I did that she started to shift back and Daniel covered her up with a blanket and called some nurses in he asked them to get her dressed and clean so he could check here up. I started growling so Daniel asked me to leave the room, but I refused, James and Oliver, my delta had to drag me out and hold me down so I would not run back into my mate, they told me Daniel was helping her, and I knew they were right, but I just wanted my mate, I just found her, I want to hold her, kiss her mark her and mate with her right now, but I cannot do that because she is hurt and unconscious.

Five hours later

After five hours Daniel came out to tell me what was wrong with her, when he told me everything I could not do or say anything, she was malnourished and dehydrated. She was tortured and her wounds had not healed properly, but she was, she was in a coma, but Daniel did not know when she would wake up. I went inside her room and waited for her to wake up, wondering what had happened to my little mate.
