Ignorant Agreement

Hailey's POV:

I knocked at Mr.Ford's cabin. An old voice said

"Come in "

I went inside and saw a serious Mr.Ford sitting and analyzing a file.

After sensing my presence he looked up gave a nod and asked me to sit. His behavior was quite unusual.

"Good Morning Mr.Ford"

I said with a warm smile.

"Good Morning Hailey ."

He said now fully shifting his focus towards me.

" Mr.Justin told me that you were looking for me?" I said confusingly.

"You heard it right ." He said looking towards me with a blank expression.

I gave him a confusing look.

"Cut this formality this old man can't pretend Congratulations dear Hails for the deal you cracked I am so so proud of you. "He chuckled suddenly.

Listening this I got eased this man really knows how to tease me. No offense Mr.Ford is a nice genuine man who raised his 3 children so well. I adore and respect him alot.

"I thought I did a huge mistake your acting is improving Mr. Ford." I said with a chuckle.

Senior laughed and said

"You remember the day I took your interview?"

"The most embarrassing day of my life how can I even forget that day Mr.Ford"

Hailey's Interview at 'Ford & Sons':

(Past)

I said remembering that day when I literally had an interview in fifteen minutes.

On the way I saw a small puppy on the middle of the road . A car was coming towards it. I jumped infront of the car to save that puppy and my clothes got stains of mud.

There was no time to change so I dashed inside the office in mud stained clothes.

The receptionist didn't knew I was Hailey. I said I am here for an interview. She called security guards.

Then suddenly senior arrived .He asked his staff that what was the matter. After listening to everything.

He asked me to come to his cabin

I went inside it was a big cabin with a horse statue. A thick soft leather chair at the centre A glass table and two leather chair infront.

There was a section of books and the other section was of the achievements of Ford and Sons. The room had a black glass wall one can see what's going on outside but everything appears black from outside.The view was just mind blowing.

"So give me five words that describe you" said Mr.Ford.

"Optimistic, jolly, confident, compassionate and bold." I said looking into his eyes.

"Why should I believe that you are Hailey Drew ?" Mr.Ford asked.

"I don't really need an evidence to prove you that I am Hailey Drew because as a CEO who runs a billion dollar business Sir he would always have the copy of each resume you can match my face. ?"

"Witty answer " all he said.

"You really believe you are better than any delegate out there?" Said Mr.Ford.

"I would definitely not say That I am better than each one of them because I don't know them personally. All I know is me that I am hardworking and maybe I am not perfect as I am human but I work on my flaws All I want is a mentor . " I said.

He just nodded his head and laughed making me confused.

"You are hired" making my jaw drop.

"You know it's not a movie that your boss is in the car and you safe that dog your boss gets impressed." He said with a smirk.

"Sir if you gave me this job just because I saved that puppy then please keep Sir I can't do this job."

Mr. Ford looked at me questioningly.

"Sir I would have done the same for anyone I want to have a job not based on my good deeds but I want a job for my work."

"You know Hailey if I would have not seen the potential in you. You would be out by now my child. I would have never asked you to come inside my office. Your answers were bang on either way you would have got the job . I would love to have you in my family."

I smiled and nodded.

"Be here at sharp 9. Remember Time is money " as he was saying this I banged my head on the office door as i was seeing at the back. And boom

"Are you alright my child " He asked.

"Yes sir" I said scratching my neck

He just laughed and I ran.

Till date I don't know what he saw in me ?

"Thanks to you who always falls for it let's get serious I wanted to ask you something ? ."

He said now with a serious look on his face.

"I have all ears Mr.Ford ."

I said and composed myself with a professional look.

"You have worked for me for about 4 years now Hailey and you are one of my trustworthy employees I always saw that spark in you of being a well known businesswoman ."

He said with pride in his eyes.

"I know Mr.Ford it's because of your guidance that I am standing here and wanna know a secret we have almost managed the expenses of our new company I always dreamt about. "

Yeah that's true how cool right within few months me Kate and Scott will get the fruit of our hardwork. We seriously worked our a*s off to save money for our start up.

"I couldn't be more happier dear Hailey but you know what I really want a favor from you. I know I am being selfish but it's for a good cause. "

I know Mr. Ford from past 4 years I know he would never do anything that is not good for me and this company.

"Don't beat around the bush Mr.Ford I know you are nervous but I trust you." I said with a genuine smile.

"As you know I am getting old I want to hand over this company to my son and enjoy those handful days of my life traveling. " he said

"Ohh Justin so why are you asking me this Mr. Ford you should talk to him?" I said with a confusing look.

"No I am talking about Richard. I want you to assist him for three months Then you can continue to work here or work on your startup."

He said with a serious look.

"But Justin can also do that Mr.Ford."

"I know Hails but I want him to work with you because I trust you. You have a good experience and you know most of our clients. You have always proved your worth. Can't you do this much for not Mr.Ford but your old man please." He said with puppy dog eyes.

"You surely know how to melt me. You know I would do anything for you. So old man I am in I guess your stern face is just a facade." Listening this hi lips curled into a huge smile.

"Only with few people you know." I chuckled.

"Who would say that you are even a heiress of billions dear." He said to tease me.

" Old man please not here you were on my side when Jus teases me. " I said whining

"Cause I love to tease you pumpkin" He laughed.

"Put your facade on or your employees will get confused. " He laughed and I left not before greeting ofcourse.

"Good day Mr.Ford." I greeted him.

"I am having one so far dear." He replied.

That's how I exit his office.

I have agreed to work with Richard I just hope he is just half as like as jus or old man then I won't mind.
