10. You are a dork

At this point Chloe didn't know if she was happy or wanted to die for having math as her first class every Wednesday. It was a cold November morning, everyone was like a Walker (if you watch The Walking Dead, you got it) no noise in the classrooms or hallways. Chloe was taking out her stuff, waiting for her partner to come when somebody started shaking her and placed it hands on Chloe's eyes. "Hum, I don't know. Let me guess..." Chloe started touching the hands of the person. "Soft hands, cold by the way." She smiled and heard a little giggle coming from the person blinding her. "You use nail polish. You-" she started touching the arms of the person. "Have a leather jacket, and you smell nice." She grabbed the person's hands and took them off her eyes. "You must be the best person in the world. Aubrey." "You bitch." Beca laughed slapping Chloe playfully on the arms. She placed her jacket on the back of her seat as well as her backpack and started taking out her stuff. "Sup red." Chloe looked up and down Beca's body and then straight to her eyes. "You're in a good mood." Chloe gasped. "Who are you and what have you done to my Beca?" She said acting dramatic. "Drama queen." Beca snapped. Chloe muttered a thank you. "Fourth person in the morning who tells me I'm in a good mood." "Well yeah, because it’s weird." Chloe said sitting in a position so that now she was facing Beca's side. "A. You're not a morning person. B. We have math as first class of the day. C. It’s a cold morning and that doesn't help at all." Chloe started counting with her fingers. But Beca cut her words. "I like math, I love cold weather and yeah, I’m not a morning person..." She trailed off. ”BUT, today's the match." You could see the excitement all over Beca and she looked so cute bouncing up and down on her seat, Chloe thought. Then a smile appeared on the brunette's face. "My Beca?" Beca said. "What?" Chloe asked obviously confused. "What have you done to my Beca?" She said smiling like a goof. "Dork." Chloe laughed rolling her eyes. The teacher finally appeared in the classroom so their conversation came to an end. "So what's so important with this match?" Chloe asked grabbing her backpack. The math class was over and the girls were heading to their respective classes. "I just like soccer." Beca replied shrugging. "Besides, women are better playing than men, at least the women don't act the faults and they have to take so much more than the men, less money, the spotlight is always on the men even though the women won the world cup and the men didn't." "Oh, so you like the women's team." Beca nodded in response and headed to her next class. Chloe did the same. After two long classes, they finally had lunch, but weirdly, Chloe wasn't with them. She had to help Aubrey with a "Bella emergency." So the four of them (Benji, Stacie, Jesse and Beca) ate together like the old times. “Shit.” She said grabbing her friend’s attention. “I’m running out of meds.” The three of them nodded, they were her safe place and have been since primary so they were aware of what was going on in her life and such. “I thought you were off the meds.” Jesse said taking another bite of his sandwich. “She is, but she has them prescript in case she has to face a scenario she can’t handle yet.” Stacie explained. “Maybe save the last for when you really need them and get more later?” Beca nodded. “You are right.” She saved the pills in her bag and kept on laughing along with her friend. Once lunch was over, Stacie and Beca headed to geography, "Beca." The brunette felt Stacie's elbow moving her arm. "What?" she whispered back. The teacher gave them a map to complete with countries and capitals of the Asian continent because the teacher liked to make students fail. "What the f**k is this? I didn't study for this shit." Beca took a look of Stacie's map. "That's China, Stace." Beca laughed. Stacie wrote that on her map. "I see Mitchell is done with her map and she'll be so pleased to say the capitals out loud." The teacher said telling her to go to stand on front of everybody. Stacie looked at Beca in shock, she knew Beca couldn't stand in front of a crowd of people, but again, the teacher is an ass. "What." Beca said softly. "Hand me your map." she said extending her hand. Beca slowly stood up and handed it. Her hands started to play with each other, her gaze fixed on the floor. The teacher saw the map was done, he became more furious, it was the second time he wanted to send her to detention and he couldn't. "Capital of Kuwait." He said firmly. Beca was struggling to say a word, she knew the answer she just couldn't say it. "Sir." Stacie suddenly stood up. "I was the one who was talking, not her." The man sighed loudly and gestured Beca to sit down. "Then you'll be the lucky person who's telling us the capitals." Stacie looked at Beca; Beca understood what Stacie was saying with her eyes. "Jessica." Beca whispered to the blonde bubbly girl who was sitting in the front, diagonal to Stacie. The blonde looked at Beca. The brunette told her, with her hands, to change places. The blonde accepted and changed places. Beca gave Stacie a thumb up. "Whenever you want, sir." Stacie said to the teacher. "Kuwait." He snapped. Stacie looked at Beca, who was holding a rubber with the words "kuwait city" on it. Stacie read what Beca has written down. "Kuwait city." The man nodded. "Pakistan." Beca quickly took her ruler and wrote the capital. "Islamabad." Stacie answered. "This is getting boring, the last one." The professor sighed. "Give me a juicy one, Paul." Stacie said with a nervous laugh. "Brunei." Stacie looked at Beca who was lost. She couldn't remember the name of the capital, but fortunately, the bell rang. "Saved by the bell, Conrad." The man smiled. Beca quickly took her books and backpack and ran to Stacie. "Stacie Conrad, I love you. I owe you big one." She said hugging the taller brunette. "Woah, you're actually hugging me." Stacie laughed hugging her back. "Shut up." Beca snapped heading out of school with Stacie to meet with Chloe. "I guess you're watching the match today." Stacie said stopping in front of Beca. Pretty close to her face. "Well, duh." She replied rolling her eyes. "Do you want to come?" "I would, but I can't." she took one of the shorter girl's hands and played with it. Stacie caught the figure of a woman with red hair in the corner of her eye. "There comes your girlfriend." She kissed Beca's cheek and tried to leave as fast as she could but Beca stopped her by grabbing her hand. "My what." Beca asked standing as close to Stacie as they were standing before. "Wanna kiss again, Mitchell?" Stacie winked teasing her. Beca opened her mouth but closed it the second Chloe approached them. "Hey red." Chloe gave them an awkward smile. They were still pretty close to each other. "Hum, see you two at practice." Stacie said goodbye and left. "s**t I forgot about the practice." Beca cursed slapping her forehead. They started walking towards Beca's house for Chloe's lesson. "To be honest-" Chloe suddenly said while walking. "The first’s days I thought Stacie and you were a couple." "Everybody thinks I'm either with Stace or Jesse." Beca said smirking. "Stacie has more chances though." She said looking up to Chloe's blue eyes. "Really?" Chloe asked surprised. Beca nodded. "At least she kissed me, Jesse never touched these lips." Beca said raising her eyebrows twice, Chloe laughed. "The further thing he did with me was cuddle; don't ask how we ended doing that." Chloe nodded. "But, Stacie and I spooned before Jesse and I cuddled so... He's pretty slow, yeah." Beca continued. Chloe had a lot of information that had to sink in. "I didn't know that side of you." Chloe waited till Beca grabbed her keys from the pocket of her jeans. "Well-" Beca was struggling to take them out. "There're a lot of thing you don't know. Yet." Beca opened the door and waited for Chloe to pass. Yet. Chloe repeated to her insides. It was like the fifth time she was in Beca's house, the fifth time she sat in Beca's room, looking at the same picture wondering who that guy was. Beca appeared a few minutes later with another box of cereal, coke and her laptop under her arm. She placed it all on her bed and opened one of her drawers. She then turned around with two jerseys. "Beale, if you're gonna be in this house on a game day, you have to honor the gals." Beca said throwing the blue jersey to Chloe. Chloe looked at the name on the shirt. "Heath? The gals?" she asked. "The gals." Beca stated opening her laptop, revealing a picture of women hugging each other, they were obviously, soccer players. "Do I... have to...-" Chloe showed the jersey to Beca, she wasn't sure what to do with it. "Please." Beca pleaded. Beca suddenly started taking off her shirt, exposing her kind of toned stomach and chest, Chloe couldn't keep her eyes off of Beca. Beca put her white jersey and looked at Chloe, who was still looking at Beca. "Liked what you saw?" Beca smirked knowing she made the red head blush. "I’m I’m go going to the bathroom, to get change, of course." She quickly stood up and walked to the bathroom, locking herself in. I'm pretty sure I just had an orgasm by just looking at her. She said sitting on the bath. She went to the sink and splashed cold water on her face before putting the blue jersey on. Beca's perfume. She couldn't help but enjoy the smell of the jersey. "Something's telling me we're not going to practice." Chloe appeared in Beca's room with the blue jersey on. "You wanna go?" Beca asked sitting on her bed, back against the wall. Chloe shrugged.  "We're going, loser. You're the co-captain." Chloe smiled; after all, she didn't want to miss practice. "You have a nice body." Chloe looked at Beca with wide eyes, Beca, at the realization of what she said she tried to save it. "...for for a jersey, I meant." This was Chloe's opportunity to make Beca blush. "I know you like my body." She sat down on Beca's bed, next to the brunette. Beca with her jaw closed and a light blush on her face. "Anyways, back to math." Before they realized, the story of the last time was repeating itself again. "WE HAVE TO STOP DOING THIS." Chloe said hugging Beca's waist as tight as she could. Beca laughed at the other girl's cuteness. Like the first day of practice, they were late. Like the first day of practice, they were going as fast as they could on Beca's BMX. Beca stopped the bike and grabbed Chloe's hand. "Run." she said smiling. They ran to the auditorium, a minute left before practice started. They entered the auditorium just in time to hear Aubrey's speech. "We almost die." Chloe said, she sounded terrified, but she had a big smile on her face. "You still love me." Beca winked at the red head. Chloe heard somebody whisper Beca's name. She saw Stacie mouthing something about medicaments to Beca, who nodded. Stacie let out a relaxed smile. Nothing really important happened at practice, they practiced the choreography and did warm ups and cardio like the last time. "That's it for today, girls. You did great."  Aubrey said. The girls started to leave the auditorium, Beca anxious to do it as well but Aubrey stopped her. "Beca, can I have a word?" Beca looked at Chloe, who was still drinking water, she had some seconds. "What's up?" She asked. Aubrey faked a smile. "You know you'll have to take those ear monstrosities out for the performance?" Beca raised an eyebrow. "You really don't like me, do you?" "I don't like your attitude." The blonde snapped. "You don't know me." Beca said grabbing her backpack from the floor. "I know you have a toner for Jesse." The blonde yelled before Beca could turn to leave, catching Chloe's attention. "A what." Beca asked. "A toner, a musical b***r. I saw it at the party. It’s distraction." Beca laughed at the blonde words. If she only knew. Beca said to herself. "Yeah there's nothing between Jesse and me and you're not the boss of me so..." Beca said swinging her backpack over her shoulder. "You took an oath." Aubrey was furious; you could see her fist clenching and her jaw shutting. "That oath already cost you two girls. I’m sure you need me more than I need you." Beca said leaving the place. "I CAN SEE YOUR TONER THROUGH YOUR JEANS." Aubrey yelled furious. "THAT'S MY DICK." Beca replied making Aubrey even more furious. Beca ran towards Chloe and dragged her out of the auditorium. "We don't have much time to get home so get in the bike quick." She told the redhead as she grabbed her by the hand. They really needed to stop doing that. When they got to Beca's house, they ran to Beca's room and turned the TV on. Beca opened her laptop and called Jesse on Skype after she saw the last missed calls. "Hey weirdo are you going to watch the USWNT vs. Trinidad and Tobago's match?" Jesse asked without even looking at the screen. "Oh hi Chloe." he said waving his hand. "Well, I gave her my jersey, there's no going back now." Beca smiled at Chloe. The line ups were coming, both teams were in line, the national anthems at the background. "Is it me or is getting hot in here?" Jesse said. "Don't." the brunette warned him. "I swear I'm ending this call right now." "The Heath is getting higher." He said wiggling his eyebrows, making a pun about a player’s last name. Beca closed her laptop and looked at Chloe who was giggling. The match had started, Chloe's never seen Beca so focused and excited at the same time. "C'mon baby horse. Shoot. Shoot. yeaFUCKING HELL." The goalkeeper saved the ball and Beca was frustrated. "Tobin please score. Well fuck." second shot, blocked. Chloe found herself staring at the concentrated brunette, she couldn't help it. She liked the way Beca bit her lip every time the U.S team was about to score, the way she smiled when the girls made a good play or when Tobin nutmegged a player, how Beca groaned when it was offside or the girls failed their shot. But then Beca's face light up. There was a penalty for the U.S, an opportunity. "GOAL." Beca jumped from the bed and hugged Chloe. "If this is a friendly match, I don't want to be with you when it’s a serious match." Chloe laughed and Beca rolled her eyes at her friend. After lots of missed shots that ended hitting one of the posts of the goal, the second goal came. Then a 3rd, a 4th and a 5th one, Beca was like a kid in Christmas. Chloe loved this side of Beca. The match came to an end and Beca had a smile that couldn't be erased easily from her face. "You're losing your badass image, Mitchell." Chloe said. She was staring at Beca from her bed. "You should feel honored I let you watch a match with me." Beca grabbed the cups while Chloe took the bowls that were full of cereal and followed Beca to the kitchen. "I didn't know soccer makes you this happy." Chloe said cleaning the cups. "Well, this was their first match with the newbie’s and without Cheney." Beca noticed Chloe's confused face. "She was a player who retired; she was part of The New Kids." Chloe was still confused. "I gotta educate you in Math and Soccer." "Didn't you ever thought of you know, playing soccer?" Chloe asked sitting on the counter. "Well." Beca sat next to her friend. "I used to; I was such a big fan of these girls that I bought the jersey of everyone in the team, the local jersey and the alternative." Chloe's eyebrows jumped to her forehead, she was not expecting that. "Why did you stop playing it?" It took a moment for Beca to answer. "I just did." Beca's phone buzzed on her pocket. "It’s my mom, wanna stay for dinner?" Chloe looked at her watch. "It’s 8PM, I don't want to bother. I should get going." "You can crash here if you want." Beca offered. "I mean, it’s already dark." Chloe looked at Beca in the eye. "Uh, are you sure?" "No, I’m just offering you to stay because you're a pain in the ass and I hate you." she replied sarcastically. "If you insist, I’m gonna call my mom to let her know." Chloe left the kitchen to call her mom while Beca texted hers. Mom, a friend is staying for the night. Hope you don't mind :) -Becs The answer came almost immediately. Better for me, more people to bother. I'll be there in 5. -Mom Dinner at Beca's house was fun for Chloe; she got to meet the brunette's mother, Caren who was hilarious maybe that's where Beca's funny humor came from. They ordered pizza and ate it all together in the living room. "Mom." Beca warned her mother, who was telling some embarrassing stories about Beca's childhood to Chloe. "You wouldn't dare." Her mother looked at Beca and raised an eyebrow, Chloe enjoying every single second of it. "Wanna bet?" Beca glared at her. "Well, she used to grab old dog's poop from the street and play." Caren continued. "yOU b***h, I WAS TWO AND I THOUGHT THEY WERE ROCKS." Beca said her face red of embarrassment. Chloe was laughing so hard it was difficult to breathe and her stomach was aching. "How could you think they were rocks?" The red head said between laughs. "They were white and small. Rocks." Chloe and her mother laughed even harder. Beca never actually took a moment to stare at Chloe laughing, she didn't know she was doing it, but she was. And a little smile crossed her face at the sight of the red head crying of laughter. "Anyways girls, don't stay up too late and, have fun." she added a wink at the end of the sentence. "MOM." Beca groaned covering her red face with her hands. "I'm just telling you two to not be so loud." Caren replied acting innocent. And with that, she left with a smirk on her face. Beca waited till her mother left to keep talking. "Sorry for that, she's weird." Beca got up and took her Chloe's dishes and placed them in the sink. "No biggie." Chloe said. "But you're weirder." she whispered in the brunette's ear, sending shivers all over Beca's body. Chloe's phone buzzed, she took it out and looked at Beca thoughtful. "What." Beca asked. "I probably should go and grab some stuff for school from my house, but if I go I’m not coming back." Chloe said after looking at her mother's message telling her about her school books. "Or..." Beca jumped onto the counter and grabbed a box of frosted flakes from the top shelf. "I give you some of my clothes for tomorrow and we get up earlier to pick up your books." she offered eating her cereal. "Want some?" She said with her mouth full. Chloe laughed at her friend and grabbed some, sitting next to her. The girls stayed there for a few minutes, eating cereal on the counter of the kitchen.  A yawn broke the silence. "You tired?" Chloe asked with a smile. Beca shrugged. "Kind of." she jumped off the counter. "But I really want to take out my jeans." The girls went to Beca's bedroom, Beca handed a pair of grey sweatpants and an old green flannel to the ginger. Meanwhile, Beca grabbed a mattress and some pillows for "Chloe's bed". When Chloe came in the room she found the brunette under her bed trying to grab something and a few boxes next to the bed. "What're you doing?" Chloe laughed, standing against the door frame. Beca jumped at the sudden voice and hit her head. "Fuck." Chloe laughed. The red head sat on Beca's bed and looked at the boxes. More pictures, papers, mix tapes, CD's...maps? "What's this?" Chloe asked looking at the box. Beca took her head out of under her bed and sat on her knees. "Noisy much?" Chloe nodded proudly with a sheepishly smile. "But seriously what's this?" The brunette sat next to the ginger and grabbed the box from her hands. Her expression changed at the sight of said box. "Hum some stuff of my glory days." "Your childhood?" Chloe said looking at a picture of a toddler playing on the grass. Beca nodded. She saw the desire of looking what was inside the box in Chloe's eyes. She sighed; she was not used to talk to people about her. "You can look it if you want." Chloe looked at her thankfully. Beca smiled. Beca got up and left the room. "I’m gonna go look for some sheets." She said. Chloe started taking out the pictures, Beca played soccer with Stacie? The ginger said to herself. "Found something interesting?" Beca placed the sheets on the mattress and sat next to Chloe. "You were so cute." Chloe showed Beca a picture of Beca when she was 5 or 4. "I'm still cute." Chloe raised an eyebrow. "Okay, I'm not cute. I’m the shadow of the night don't you dare to call me cute." Beca started making her guest's bed, putting the sheets carefully on the matters, while Chloe kept looking the stuff in the box. "Are you really making me a bed? See? Cute." Chloe teased. "What? You prefer to sleep on the cold floor?" Beca said throwing a pillow to the red head. "No, but it’s not like we've never slept in the same bed." Chloe threw the pillow back to the brunette, hitting her side. "I knew you wanted to sleep with me, but I didn't how much you wanted it." Beca said jokingly winking making Chloe blush. "You wish, you weirdo." Chloe snapped back "Ouch." Beca laughed. "Anyways..." Chloe trailed off. "Why the maps?" Chloe asked taking them out of the box changing the topic. Beca sighed before replying. "They were a distraction." Chloe was pushing, slowly, to pass Beca's walls. And she was succeeding. "How so?" "Well, when my parents started to yell at each other and hit the table, I’d turn the music on and start doing maps of continents and countries, then try to memorize them." Beca simply shrugged like if it wasn't much. "When I started growing up, I started making my music; it was less boring than doing those maps." Chloe's mouth was open ajar. "You actually memorize them?" she asked surprised. Beca nodded. "Do you still remember them?" Beca nodded again, kind of embarrassed. She's never told that to anybody and now that she did, it sounded pathetic. "That's amazing; I didn't know you wanted to be a DJ." Beca raised her gaze from the floor and offered Chloe genuine smile. "Yeah, I want to be a music producer." The girls decided to watch a movie after a long discussion, Chloe convinced Beca to watch one. "Wanna watch a movie?" Beca snorted. "I don't really like movies, and you seem like the kind of girl who likes love movies." Now was Chloe's turn to laugh leaving a confused Beca. "Beca, honey. I’m a big fan of Star Wars and Resident Evil." "Oh my god, you're a female Jesse." Beca said, earning a pillow on her face from Chloe. The girls ended in "Chloe’s bed", their backs against Beca's bed, watching Resident Evil which Beca really enjoyed but she fell asleep anyways. The movie was half way through when Chloe started yawning, she then felt Beca's head against her shoulder, the brunette was breathing heavily snuggled on Chloe's side. Eventually, the red head fell as well. 6:00 am. Beca's alarm went off, Beca being the first one to get up. She groaned and turned it off, snuggling her face back to the pillow. Chloe was next to her, struggling to open her eyes. "Get up weirdo. We have to pick up your stuff." Beca said letting her head fall on Chloe's back. "Morning, you." Chloe mumbled. Chloe sat up, Beca's head now lying on her legs. The red head suddenly started acting like the energetic bubbly ginger she is. She started shaking her friend, only to get a groan as response. "You leave me no choice Becs." The ginger started tickling the brunette's sides, Beca started laughing, begging for Merci. "I'm up I'm up." She said standing up, raising her arms in surrender. Beca told Chloe to grab whatever she wanted from her closet while she showered. Chloe opted for a black hoodie, her red converse and her jeans. Chloe sat on Beca's bed with her phone, waiting for the brunette to finish her shower. She looked over Beca's bed and stared the picture of the guy that intrigued her so much. She started scrolling down Beca's i********:; maybe she had a picture with him, nope, nothing. She was so lost in her phone she didn't notice Beca was singing in the shower. Lights will guide you home and ignite your bones and I will try to fix you Chloe found herself smiling alone at the brunette's voice until she heard the water stopped running and Chloe ran to sit on the bed again, acting normal. After a minute or two, Beca opened the door, drying her hair with a towel. She was wearing her black combat boots, skinny jeans and a grey tee. She opened her closet and grabbed a black and white flannel. "Beca Mitchell wearing a flannel? So unexpected." Chloe said rolling her eyes. "You'd be surprised with the amounts of things that are not so unexpected." Beca smiles sitting next to her. "Nice choice of hoodie." Beca smiled. "Ready to go?" She said putting a grey beanie on her friend's head, who laughed at her friend. Chloe took a beanie from Beca's desk and took the one she was wearing, putting it on Beca's head and putting a yellow one on her own head. "My daughter awake before 7 AM? I like this girl, can we keep her?" Caren said watching the girls coming downstairs. Chloe laughed but Beca shot death glares at her mother. "We have to pick some stuff from Chloe's house so..." Beca said kissing her mom in the cheek, grabbing her leather jacket before leaving the house. "It was nice to meet you." Chloe said politely to Caren, who embraced her in a hug. "Bye girls." "We have 50 minutes before school starts, and it's a 5 minute walk to your house." Beca said. "Yeah, so...?" Chloe trailed off. "Would you make me the favor to grab a coffee with your weird friend?" Beca asked in a fancy voice. Chloe agreed. It was Beca's first time in Chloe's house, so yeah, she almost died when a big dog came running and tackled her to the floor. "What the hell." Beca said trying to avoid the dog's tongue. "Enough Murphy." the ginger said trying to move the big golden retriever a side. Beca awkwardly patted the dog on the head and quickly jogged inside of the house. "My dad is at work, that's for sure my mom is probably asleep and my brother IS asleep" she said making the word IS noticeable, "so don't make so much noise." Beca nodded. "Didn't know you have a brother." she said waiting Chloe outside of her bedroom. "Well, I do." Chloe answered. "How much is..." "6 years." Chloe quickly answered. Beca's mouth was shaped in a perfect 'o'. 5 minutes later they were out of the house and on their way to grab coffee. "Ugh, I'd rather have my cereal than coffee." Beca said while paying the guy for the coffees Once outside the girls walked in the comfort of the cold wind. "You never told me what you want to be." Beca said drinking her coffee. "Oh, I don't know. I’m not sure yet. But I'd like to be a teacher." Chloe shrugged looking down at her feet. "As long as you don't teach math..." Beca said jokingly. Chloe slapped her friend's arm and Beca laughed. Both girls walked to the school chatting on their way.
