A Hard Earned Success

351 Words
Allen, a skilled farmer, decided to enter the field of agribusiness and became a producer of rice, crops, and livestock in the remote regions of the mountains. He provided goods and services to the locals, facilitating their access to essential resources. In his management of the business, Allen implemented financial literacy principles, increasing his wealth. Apart from managing his business, Allen also conducted seminars and livelihood projects in his community, aiming to alleviate poverty among his fellow citizens. He believed that poverty was the reason behind Diana's rejection of him and pursuit of her dreams. Instead of allowing his people to live in poverty, Allen encouraged them to invest their time and skills, believing that this would lead them to a successful life. Years later, Allen's younger brother completed his education, becoming a licensed police officer, while his younger sister finished a Business Administration course and assisted in the management of Allen's business. Despite their mother, Felisa, being advanced in age, she preferred to remain in their old house. Allen constructed a large house on the farm premises, with his business establishment centered around it. One day, he paid a visit to their old house, in order to see his mother and persuade her to join him on the farm. "Mother, the time has come for me to repay you for all the sacrifices you made for us, your children. Please come and reside with me in our new house," Allen spoke with conviction."Allen, this old house was passed down to me from my parents. Before their passing, I pledged not to leave this place as long as I am alive. This house holds memories, both joyful and painful, of all the family members who have lived here," his mother replied. Although Allen did not force his mother to vacate the house, he understood the significance of family tradition and unity. He paid homage and respected his family's customs, assuring Felisa that he would visit her frequently. Allen hired someone to care for his mother in the old house, as he and his siblings continued to work and manage their businesses.
