Chapter 12

When i woke up Josh wasn't around. He left me a note on his side of the bed.

'Morning babe, sorry i'm not there when you wake up. I'll be back later on Love Josh x'

Wow how sweet. I wonder where he went. I got myself up and dressed. Quickly brushed my hair then headed down stairs for breakfast. I found my brother and Lucy in the kitchen. Made myself some coffee and sat with them.

"Hey Ant do you know where Josh went?"

"No idea, He said he had to do some stuff before heading out later"

"Out later?" I raised a eyebrow i wandered if it may have anything to do with these rogues.

"Yeah perimeter run, I can't say much more on it sorry. Sure Josh will explain later"

"Ok fine, can we go for a run while he is busy"

"Sure we can"

"Lucy do you wanna come"

"Sure why not we haven't done it in ages"

We all got up and headed into the forest and stripped down. We all shift and started running south around the pack territory not to far out that we'd come into contact with anyone uninvited in. I pushed my paws firmer each time into the dirt below me. I love to run in wolf form Amber loves it too. Feeling of freedom as the wind blew through my fur.

"Watch out" Antony shouted and someone came flying at me. I landed with a thump.

As gather my bearings quickly back to my feet I seen a small red hair wolf with green eyes staring at me. Ant ran towards me with Lucy close on his tail. I circled the red head and he circles me. He looked like he was gonna to pounce. As he jumped i moved out the way i clipped his leg and made him fall. Ant jumped on top of him "Shift" He demanded. The wolf ignored him "Shift" Antony pushed harder on his neck with his paw making his squeal out in pain. The wolf finally shifted. I shifted too and walking over to the guy beneath my brother. I restrained him until Antony shifted. I got the wolf to his feet and walked him back to the pack house.

"We'll take him down to the cells" Antony announced and i just followed. I never been down here before . It was around the back of the pack house down some creepy stairs. Long a dark dill light corridor. I could hear water dripping somewhere around the cells Antony grab a set of keys of the wall. Unlocked one of the cells and tossed the guy in.

"Now what?" I asked Antony.

"He will stay here until Josh comes to deal with him"

I turned to face the other cell. There sat Abby waiting to be punished as well. I smirked at her then walked back out of the cells.

"What are you doing down there" Josh Popped into view as i reached the top of the stairs.

"Locking a rogue up" I say like its no big deal.

"A rogue?" He took my hand as i walked closer.

"Yeah" I turned to look at Ant was he was coming up too.

"Antony" Josh nodded. "Josh"

"Let's go to the office" Josh says as we head back around the house.

"Am i coming too?" I asked as we enter the house.

"Of course i need to know what the hell happened for a rogue to be locked up"

We headed up the stairs towards the office not even sure where Lucy ran off too. Josh took his seat on the other side of the huge mahogany desk. Antony took a seat on the other side. I decided i'd rather look around at the trophies in the glass cabinet. Pictures on the wall. There was one of Josh's mum and dad and his grandparents. As i moved along i stopped in front of another. It was my parents. They were much younger. My mum was glowing, she look like she may have been pregnant. I missed them both so much. I didn't realised i was crying until Josh came over and wrapped me in his arms.

He brought me over to his chair and sat down bring me onto his lap. Pulling my hair to one side i lean in towards his neck and sat quietly.

"So Antony this rogue?" He motioned for Ant to explained what happened.

"We had gone out for a run not that far from here, About 50 yards to the south. He jumped on Paige out of the blue. Just glad i had been training her for months to defend herself"

"You were training her?" He sounded surprised

"Well you know what she has been through, she asked for help. So i helped her become stronger."

Josh sounded proud, but pissed at the same time. That rogue should never half been in our territory in the first place.

"Right tonight we attack them. Leave no one alive. I mean it Ant if they think coming this close to the pack house is ok they have another thing coming and to hurt Paige" He glanced down to look at me. "I promised never to hurt her and that goes for anyone else"

"Paige i need you to stay here in the house while i'm gone, I need you to be safe" Kissing my forehead.

"Yeah sure"i mumble "Can i go find Lucy while you guys chat about how you going to fight these arseholes"

"Ok..I'll check in with you before i go" I kissed him and then left them to it.

"Lucy, Lucy" I called out as i walked out the office.

"Yip, Whats up" she came bobbing up the stairs.

"Fancy playing some pool?" There was a game room next to the kitchen.

"Sure. I'm gonna beat your ass" She giggle as i chanced her down stairs.

"Luna"

"Hey Luna"

"Evening Luna" I heard as i enter the room. It's gonna take time getting use to. But i say hey back.

Lucy grabbed the cue's and i lined the balls up with the triangle. We flipped a coin to see who's starts first.

"I call heads" Lucy flipped s coin and the landed in her hand.

"Tails it is" Lucy lined up her shot eyeing up the socket she was aiming for.

"Bad luck" i says as i go to take my shot. "Yes" I got it in.

We must have played for hours. I won 5 and Lucy won 4. We haven't had this much fun in ages. 

Hey Lucy did you know there was a photo of my parents in Josh's office" I have no idea why i'm asking her she probably doesn't even know.

"Well your dad was beta right?" 

"Ah yeah true" I never thought of that being a reason.

We when looking for some alcohol to drink, feeling in that kind of mood when having had one in a while. I was drinking cider and she was drinking beers. Josh and Ant had walked to say they were off. Gave me a longing kiss "Don't drink to much" Says sniffing my hair then heading for the door.

"I'll drink as much as i like" I sing out. Think he may have just heard me just. He turned to shake her head. Caleb don't let them drink to much. Oh great a security guard yay. I link Lucy 'We should grab a few more and hide somewhere in this big house so they can't find us" I laughed a little bit tipsy.

"Just nipping to the loo" I call to Caleb who is sat playing the playstation.

"RIght" He called.

He wasn't paying much attention and Lucy snuck up too. We found drink and ran up to her room. We started playing some cards and kept drinking. Lucy said something funny but i can't remember what it was and i fell of the bed. Still laughing away

God knows what time i was but we both passed out. Didn't hear Josh or Ant comes back last night yet somehow i ended up back in his bed i briefly remember opening my eyes a little as i seen Josh's face buried close to me. I smile before passing down out.
