The sun beamed across the tall grass around Erin, her face up and eyes closed, taking in the warmth. It was late spring, and she loved to sit in the field and watch nature come to life after a harsh winter. She dug her palms into the ground connecting with the Earth, she was peaceful.
“Mommy! Mommy! Whatcha’ doing?” the little voice cut through her thoughts.
She opened her eyes to see the blue-eyed toddler standing front of her. His curly brown hair was thrown all around his head, Erin couldn’t help but chuckle. He was so cute in just his shirt, pull ups and his boots. He was a spitting image of her father, but with blue eyes, and she loved it.
“I’m relaxing, James. Why don’t you come try and relax with me?” she said, opening her arms to him.
