Blake POV
"I can't do this anymore, let's get a divorce" Terry said, her voice quivering as she threw the divorce papers on the coffee table in front of me, she's holding back tears and her face red in anger, and her facial expression one of heartbreak.
I shot up in my bed, I could feel the sweat run down my face, my entire body shivering and my heart beating so hard it could jump right out of my chest. That nightmare was way too real... of course it was real because it happened before and it was one of the reasons I chose to come back in time, I don't ever want to see her like that again.
I closed my eyes and tried to calm myself down, she's still here... Terry is still here, I tried to remind myself, but the more I tried the more panicked I felt. Needing to make sure she was still here, I threw the bedsheets off me and left my room in search of her, I needed to calm myself and knowing she was still here was the only thing that would work.
"Terry?" I knocked on her door, but she didn't answer, so I went to the living room thinking maybe she was watching something but she wasn't there, I went to the kitchen to see if she was there but again she wasn't, I checked the laundry room, guest room even the storeroom and I couldn't find her. I felt the panic build up with each room revealing no Terry, I crouched down and put my head in my hands fearing she really did leave, but it wasn't even the right time for it how could she be gone, I could feel tears welling up, when I heard a click, I looked up into the hallway and the she stood in the bathroom doorway giving me a strange look.
"What? I was in the bathroom, why do you look so panicked?" she asked concerned.
I let out a sigh of relief and automatically felt myself calm down, I got up and walked towards her, I wanted so badly to wrap my arms around her and give her a hug, but I refrained from doing so I didn't want to weird her out again.
"Nothing... I just thought you left" I said sheepishly rubbing the back of my neck avoiding eye contact.
"Well as you can see I'm still here" she said motioning to herself before she looked at me as if though she was studying me.
"Yeah..." I let out and finally made eye contact with her, admiring her features as we stood in silence just looking at each other for a few seconds, I could see she was trying to figure out what caused my panic, but I can't let her know.
"I uh, I think I'm gonna go grab a shower, can you see to breakfast?" I asked, breaking eye contact with her, I didn't want her to figure it out. She looked away from me as if though she was ashamed of staring at me that long and then nodded her head.
I walked past her on my way to the bathroom, brushing past her, I purposely bumped lighting into her shoulder just to make sure she was really there.
Once I was done I went back to the dining room finding her staring absentmindedly at something in her hands. "What's that?" I asked walking closer to her to take a peek at what was in her hands. They were amusement park tickets, I forgot about the first time we got them, I was such a jerk.
*Flashback*
I snatched the tickets out of her hands, breaking into a smile as soon as I saw they were limited VIP amusement park tickets.
"I'm taking these, I doubt you'd wanna go anyway." I said while stuffing them into the back pocket of my jeans.
*present time*
"Limited VIP amusement park tickets for an event they are holding." She answered.
"Ah I see, you can take Karina with you and have some fun." I suggested nonchalantly then took a bite of the sandwich she made for me.
"Huh", she let out while her mouth dropped open in surprise at what I said.
"What?", I asked looking her in the eye while I ate.
"Nothing... It's just that.. well I was supposed to teach you how to cook today"
"It's fine don't worry about it, there's next time."
"Okay, but Karina isn't free over the weekends though"
"Oh" I was a little lost on what to suggest next, we couldn't just let the tickets go to waste. We did eventually come up with the idea to just go together.
A few minutes later, we're staying at the entrance gates, with my face scrunched up in disbelief that I'm here again, I feel so old and out of place now, being older than I was back then.
"Tickets please?" the Ticket collector addressed us, snapping me out of my own head. Terry gave him our tickets, and he placed blue entry bands on our wrists. She grabbed a map, probably trying to decide what to do first since we have time to kill before the event starts. I suddenly remembered she's not good with the extreme rides.
"Hey, you can't handle the extremes rides, so we can go on the milder ones." I said interrupting her staring at the map all dazed and confused.
I started walking, looking back every few moments to make she's still following behind me as I lead the way to the family friendly roller coaster that was almost filled with kids.
"Let's go on this one" I said aand turned to see her feeling embarrassed at all the stares people were giving us. "I'm not made of glass you know, I'm pretty sure I can handle more thrilling rides than this one" she simply stated once we got off the ride.
"Is that so?" raising my eyebrow at her.
