University part 2

Terry's POV It's been 5 days since Blake's change in behaviour and it's been creeping me out. Thankfully he never tried to cook or clean again but it's still weird because he stopped picking on me and actually made an effort to help me out around the house, small things like setting the table when I cooked or bringing the laundry basket when I was doing the laundry. What's even more shocking is the fact that he's been less immature. We also didn't interact as much as before which I was grateful for since I finally had some peace. I wasn't looking forward to today's lecture, I shared this class with Blake and every lesson was an absolute nightmare, he was always kicking my chair and making loud insulting jokes about me, I always tried to ignore it and focus but it's so hard to even write down decent notes, I always end up getting extra notes from my friend Karina. I left earlier than Blake since I had a lecture before that nightmare class with him, which went really well. I went straight from one classroom to the next and took my seat next to Karina as usual, not long there after I saw Blake enter the classroom and look around, finally spotting me, I watched as he smiled at me and strolled towards me like he didn't have a care in the world and then take the seat behind me, don't get me wrong he has a dazzling smile and if he wasn't so horrible towards me I might have even fallen for him not just because of his smile there are a few other reasons but I'm getting sidetracked again, anyway back to the story. Here we go again I thought once he was seated. I waited expecting him to kick my seat and make his loud insulting jokes, but I was confused when it never happened. I turned around and stared at him in confusion, noticing he's friends did the same obviously they had no idea what was up with him either. He was quiet and focused on his laptop, he actually looked like he was doing some work for a change. He looked up from his screen probably feeling everyone's eyes on him. "What?" He asked, frowning, and I couldn't tell if he was trying to tell us to mind our own business or if he was genuinely confused at our stares. From the corner of my eye I saw his friends quickly turn away, being the cowards they were, not a single person other than me actually stood up to Blake. I found it intriguing how someone so outgoing and caring to others could also be so feared, and it honestly hurt me that I was the only person he directed hatred towards and I don't even know why he hates me, and it's only because he hates me that I hate him back, I don't even think I have a genuine reason to dislike him the way I do, other than it's because he treats me horribly. In any case, I continued to stare at him a little while longer, I wasn't afraid of him but I just didn't want to fight with him right now. Eventually I turned back around and went back to work, occasionally I laughed softly at the jokes my friends made, I didn't want to disturb the class but they were actually being silly and having fun for a change in this class, so I joined in and relaxed a bit for a change. The class went smoothly, too smoothly I think, there has to be a catch somewhere. I packed up my things and was about to leave with Karina, when I felt ice cold hands grab a hold of mine, I spun around so fast I think I got whiplash, only to see the icy hands belonged to Blake. "I..." He began. He seemed to be struggling a bit with words so I just looked at him and waited patiently for him to speak. "Would you like to join me for lunch?" He finally managed to ask. I Frowned, not quite sure why he wanted to have lunch with me, was it another prank possibly but as I thought about it, I realised that I didn't actually have a reason to turn him down. I mean there's a small possibility that he might've changed, and my parents also kept urging me to get along with him anyway. "Sure, I guess" I agreed, still not comfortable with my decision to join him. "Wait-" Karina tried to stop me, obviously aware of how horrible Blake is towards me, but I cut her off by placing a reassuring hand on her arm and giving it a slight squeeze to let her know I'll be okay. "I'll catch up with you later, okay" I said smiling to give her peace of mind and give myself courage to deal with Blake. I turned around to face him and my smile was immediately replaced with my usual blank look I have when dealing with him. I saw the girl he always had with him walk up to us, while we were in the cafeteria, and was expecting him to try and humiliate and insult me. "Sorry, not today." He said, never taking his eyes off me. Okay that surprised me and I could feel my eyes widen at his response, but it was quite satisfying to watch her jaw drop in shock and disbelief, before she looked at me in disgust and anger, then turned and walked off, obviously she didn't want to face any further embarrassment that may be thrown her way. "You're being really weird these days, are you sure you're okay?" I asked out right, I didn't like beating around the bush and was usually very straight forward. "Mhm" he hummed as he ordered his burger and fries from the lunch lady, I got the same thing, Burger's were my absolute favourite food. Once we got our food, I followed him to a table and sat down, looking at him, expecting him to have something to tell me. After a while of watching him eat in silence I spoke. "So, what do you want?" I asked, he must have some ulterior motive for calling me here I just can't figure it out. "I just want to enjoy lunch with my fiance" he answered then he took a bite of his burger and chewed slowly as if to show me he was being genuine and serious. A shiver went down my spine, that was cheesy coming from Blake, and his answer made no sense, I bit my lip in thought, he would never say something like that and especially not to me, I was nibbling on my fries as I thought in silence, I looked at him and frowned noticing he once again only ate half of his food, he's been doing that for the last 5 days, and when I questioned him about it he only told me he didn't have much of an appetite. Suddenly I remembered how cold his hands were earlier and I realised he's cold hands and lack of appetite might be a sign of illness. I reached for his hands to make sure it was really as cold as it felt and it wasn't just my imagination, but he quickly pulled his hands back towards himself. "Are you sick?" I asked, concerned about him, just because I don't like him doesn't mean that I want anything to happen to him. "No" I frowned, clearly he's hiding something and he doesn't want me to know, either way I didn't ask further and just continued to eat in silence and quickly so that I could remove myself from this awkward encounter. He was staring at me again almost as if though he was trying to memorize me, and it was weird. "Hey Terry..." He said, getting my attention. " I'm glad we're able to study together in the same university." He said, shocking me again, I swear he's trying to give me a heart attack.
