Anna's POV It's been 2 years since I've been living in Paris and 3 years since I broke up with Austin. My life and mental state has changed a lot since then. Even though things are going well, something felt empty. I always find myself searching for that one person in every faces. When it gets too much, I look at our old photographs, 10 years' worth memories are still in there. Our smiling faces, weird expressions, everything is still alive in these photographs. I looked at myself in the mirror. I have achieved all my dreams, I'm now one of the top luxurious designer in France. Supermodels showcase my designs. It's all perfect. Suddenly, my thoughts were interrupted by a phone call, it's Madeline, my assistant. Unwillingly, I picked it up, "Hello." "Anna! Are we on for tomorrow's party?" She asked excitedly. For the first time, I got the chance to participate in Paris Fashion Week. I was supposed to treat my assistant and other friends to dinner. "Yes, Madeline. I quickly ran out of the restaurant, my belongings still on the table. He turned around when I pat his back but disappointment washed up on my face when it wasn't him. My shoulder dropped from the regular elegant posture as I walked back to the restaurant. I sat down and started sketching again when the waiter brought my order. Music started playing, it's "The 1" by Taylor Swift. As the melody hit my ears, I reminisced those days. Indeed, it would've been fun, if he would've been the one. Sigh, I should just eat, drink, and focus on my work. "I'd like an espresso" said a familiar voice. My eyes widened, no, no, I'm just imagining. "Hey babe, I'm here." It's definitely him! I quickly turned toward the counter to see Austin smiling and hanging up the call. I was too shocked to realize that I said his name out loud, "Austin?" He instantly turned toward me, his eyes wide from surprise, "A-Anna?" -To be continued
