Wrong Time (Part 2)

Austin's POV I've been planning for this day for months, but I can't believe my car's tire chose to go flat tonight out of all the other days. I took a glance at Anna, she seems pretty nervous and stressed. She had a busy week, she has been working to put together the new dress she designed. This dress is very important to her, so much that she had to live in Paris for months. We had our rough moment at that time, but I'm glad we worked on it, I don't want to lose her for her busy schedule. Despite an exhausting week, she looked great tonight. For the first time, she curled her straight blonde hair and her unique green eyes looked more charming with bronze eyeshadow. And oh, her dimpled smile made me fall for her all over again. I can't believe she is mine and after an hour she will be my fiance. I'm so excited my palms are all sweaty. I hope she can't see right through me. I'm finally done changing the tire and got back to her. Seems as if, she is lost in thought, so, I nudged her, "What are you thinking, pretty lady?" She blushed and replied softly, "N-nothing, are you done?" I nodded and opened the door for her, "My lady first." She smiled and got in, I love when she smiles, it brings me so much peace in my heart. It didn't take long to reach our destination. Anna has always loved parks, so I decided to set up a candlelight dinner here, with a dance floor. I took her hand and she looked awestruck by the decoration, I decorated it just the way she wanted with her favorite flower, orchid. I held her hand as she walked elegantly on the grass. As soon as we stepped in, the orchestra played "Isn't she lovely" by Stevie Wonders. I glance at her, she smiled brightly but... there was a slight hesitation to her smile. As if, she is holding herself back. My grip tightened on her hand, "You want to eat first?" She nodded vigorously, "Yes! I'm famished!" I couldn't hold in the chuckle, she is so cute. In a few minutes, she will belong to me forever. She was mine for the past 10 years, but she wasn't my fiance. Right when we sat down on the chairs, the waiter brought delicious food to the table. I specially ordered her favorite dishes. Her eyes lightened like a star seeing all her favorite food laying in front of her. "Let's dig in, darling." I raised the champagne glass to cheer, she did the same. A groan of satisfaction came from her on the first bite, "Mmm, Austin, this is delicious. I love it!" I could see her like this all day, but she seemed too formal... maybe I'm just thinking too much. We finished it off with a cheesecake, then I took her hand to the dance floor. "A Thousand years" by Christina Perry was playing on the stereo as we danced. She seemed quite stiff and out of the place, "Are you okay?" I asked nervously. She replied hesitantly, "Y-yeah, I'm alright." I placed a kiss on her forehead holding her waist, her arms placed around my neck. She pulled me in and kissed me softly, her lips taste like cherry. The kiss got deeper and deeper, as if she will never stop. Breathlessness cut the kiss off as we chuckled, I think it's time. Smiling, I got my hands off of her waist and put it in my pocket to take out the ring, but suddenly she said, "No..." Tears filled up her eyes, "No, Austin." I asked her, "What..?" I need to confirm! Is she rejecting me!? Finally, she spoke up, "I can't marry you, Austin." -To be continued
