AFTER THE SCHOOL authorities made sure I won't go berserk again, they release me from the confines of my room and Jake escorts me to Kate's ward. Through the small window on the door, I see Kate lying on the bed with an IV filled with blood connected to her arm. I was told she lost a lot of blood. I open the door to go in.
"Do you want me to go in with you?", Jake asks but I shake my head.
"No need, I just need some time alone with her. I won't be long". He nods and takes a step back while I walk in, shutting the door behind me.
On a closer look her skin is pale from the loss of blood and her lips are chapped. Seeing her like this breaks my heart and the tears I've been holding back finally falls.
