WHAT I WAS STARING AT was as huge as a grizzly bear. Its entire body was covered in black fur, its red eyes were gleaming in the dark. At first, I thought it was a dog but it was way too big to be a dog and also huge to be a wolf. I had no idea what I was staring at.
I felt a tug on my arm and then I was running. I was so shocked by what I saw I hadn't realized Dave was already running with my hand still in his. I turned back and realized the creature was running after us; gaining upon us really fast.
We jumped over a log but that didn't stop the creature, instead it ran through it breaking it to splinters. One of the splinter got stuck in my leg and I tripped bringing Dave down with me.
I tried getting up but it made the splinter sink in deeper. I screamed and fell back down.
