Lena stops the car at an abandoned looking building.
“We’ll have to lay low for now, at least until we’re sure we’re not being tailed by the Vampyre or any other Vampyre”. Mike says and gets out of the car. Astor follows suit, with his arms around me.
“Are you okay?”, He asks.
“Yes, I am, are you?”.
“Well, I don’t know what I am. I’m just glad you’re okay”. He smiles and tucks a strand of my hair behind my ear. His eyes move to my lips and I unconsciously lick them. I hear a growl from his throat but I don’t have the time to process his reaction because Lena walks up to us.
“You got a minute?”, She asks and I nod. .
“Be careful”, Astor whispers in my ear and I feel a shiver run down my spine. It’s probably just the weather, I shrug mentally but deep down, I know that’s a lie.
