Death will not take me

284 Words
I was lost somewhere in the blackness. The next sound I hear is the sound of shouting. The sounds of feet hitting flesh had been a steady pattern in the blackness. The sound was almost like a male, but he sounded bored with them. His voice pulls at memory. Should I know this male? This beating would definitely leave obvious marks. I know what’s about to come out of Megan’s mouth before she even says it. “ Liz, you will not leave your shed until there are no marks on your skin.” She cackled at this turn of events and walked away still laughing. The darkness was down to its final enclosure when I heard the male speak again. “Liz, Liz, come on keep your eyes open for me.” The next statement was one my wolf forever agreed on “Mate, Mate, Liz come on.” I let the tunnel enclose and next feel someone carrying me. They carry me to the medical wing, probably not knowing about the previous Luna order. I am on fire. The order is not meant to be broken. I can’t breathe. I know this order will kill me. The male rushes through the dark that had loosened for a second to say “I Calvin Wood, Alpha of the WestWood, King of the wolves, release the commands upon you” I feel the command that was strangling me release. I realize they were too late. I could feel someone beating on my chest, then someone breathing air into me. The pattern repeated multiple times. My wolf cried out to me to fight a little longer. Mate was waiting. He was just on the other side.
