The following week passed slowly and I began to sink into a depression. Elizabeth called me in the middle of the week to meet for lunch, but our work schedules conflicted. I assumed she couldn’t meet me at night because she started seeing the doctor.
At the end of the week I showed up at Farnsworth’s house to begin working on “SSSQ69” and told Farnsworth about Elizabeth’s departure from the project. I was surprised how well he took it and then discovered he had hired two LA porn actresses to star in his next video, whom he had met at the award ceremony.
“I had a feeling she wasn’t totally committed to joining us. Oh well, c’est la vie. Tell Elizabeth one thing for me, the next time you see her, would you?”
