The Wedding of Elizabeth Rose
With a concerned look in his eye, Mr. Bergman asked me what happened next. I told him that after I broke my commitment to Delores and dropped out of the next film project, my life slowly began to unravel. At first I tried to return to my old routine, living in the flophouse downtown and bussing tables at Denny’s. I scoured the San Diego Reader for auditions but most of the summer shows had already been cast. I tried to keep myself healthy by exercising, doing reps of push-ups and sit-ups in my studio apartment to keep from completely falling apart.
