Chapter 13

The pack members in the lodge seemed upset when Max and I walked in. Did I project onto them again without realizing it?

"Poor Hope, I'm so sorry Gabriel. Are you okay?" Cassie asked me before grabbing me something to eat.

"Did you guys hear all of that?" I asked her as she put a plate in front of me. "Thanks".

"Where's mine?!" Max complained and she rolled her eyes at him before making him a cold plate too.

"We didn't hear anything, but everyone could feel that Hope was in pain again" she said as she put a plate in front of Max.

"Oh I'm sorry" I told her.

"Don't apologize. I can only imagine how your feeling though. Are you okay?" she asked sweetly.

"Not really, but there's nothing I can do about it." I shrugged.

She patted me on the shoulder then went back to watching a movie with Adam.

I felt bad that everybody could also feel Hopes pain, but I couldn't break their bond to her. I now know she's been having visions of me too and today I manged to dull her pain while she was brutally tortured again.

The fact that she was healing so fast and without scars meant that she was now a werewolf. My father said that I need to get her to stay human until I could remark her. We have no idea what kind of werewolf she'd turn into if she shifts from the injections she's been given and he hopes that my venom will counteract it.

Now that she knows that she can communicate with me in our weird way I might be able to find out where she is or going. I have to explain to her about werewolves and that I'm one. I'd have a hard enough time telling her that in person, let alone through a f*****g vision.

"I think Alice might be with child" Max blurted out pulling me out of my thoughts.

"What?!" I looked at him and he had a puzzled look on his face.

"Well it feels like our bond changed, but like something was added to it... I just remembered thats what my dad said he felt before my mom even knew she was pregnant" he shrugged then smiled.

"After what you did today I feel like its a matter of time before we get our girls back... and I'm gonna be a dad!" he beamed at me making me chuckle.

"You'll make a good dad Max" I smiled at him.

Even talking to Hope in those circumstances made me feel like we were going to get them back soon.

We finished our meals in silence and I left Max to go to the office and do some work. I wasnt getting much done because I was focusing on how I was going to drop this bombshell on Hope.

"Gabe, can you hear me?" I was shocked to hear her sweet voice so soon. That beating should have had her out for days not hours.

"Yes my love I hear you" I said as I closed my laptop.

"Am I stuck in some kind of f*****g limbo?" I could see through her eyes and her body was still covered in blood but the knife marks were all healed. I could feel her bones painfully healing.

"No your very much alive. But you've gone through some major changes baby and what I'm going to tell you is going to sound crazy"

"Crazier then us sharing bodies and my body healing like this?" she said doubtfully.

"All apart of the same crazy"

"Well spit it out then" she hasn't lost her attitude and that made me smile.

"Hmmm so our bond is why we are able to communicate like this. After you left, Max, Adam, and Cassie explained to me why we had this mate bond. Turns out I'm a werewolf, my eyes turning black, me marking you, your s*x didn't make me stronger, I was starting to change into a werewolf. My father is one and has a pack."

"f*****g werewolves? I'm dealing with a mad scientist and your a f*****g werewolf?" she asked shocked but not in disbelief. "so did you turn all hairy and lose control on the full moon?"

"Its pretty f****d up baby. No the full moon has nothing to do with it, thats what I thought to" I chuckled. "we can turn into wolves whenever we want. I think they have been injecting you with some kind of imitation werewolf venom. That's why you haven't starved to death, survived those beatings, and have healed so fast. But Hope you can't shift into a wolf, you have to wait until your back with me. If you get really angry or your body starts shaking you have to focus and stay in control"

"This is all f*****g insane, but explains a lot. I mean at this point I'm not fully convinced I'm not just delirious and hallucinating, but your my mate and I'd follow you with all of my sanity or none. Why can't I shift though? Wouldn't that make it easy to break these chains and try to escape?" she asked me slightly annoyed that she could escape but shouldn't.

"You're perfectly sane its our reality thats insane. If you shift from what they gave you we don't know what you'd turn into." I told her bluntly.

"So don't go she hulk to escape because I might stay in hulk mode."

"Thats right my love, now what can you tell me about the fuckers doing this to you?" I asked her clenching my fists in anger thinking about what I wanted to do to those men.

"They're American, so I assume we are going to America. They're selling me and the others but I don't know to who. There's over twenty dead, probably more now. I hope Alice is okay."

"She's alive, Max can feel it" I consoled her.

"Thanks God! I don't know anything else, they don't really gossip when they come into my room... oh I think its a small cargo ship or something and the writing stamped onto one of the doors was in English."

"Thats helpful baby, we can narrow down our search a bit. We have a couple boats going from Phuket to America and vice versa, so if you find out anything more hopefully they won't be too far. Now Hope it might be a long shot, but you might be able to reach out to Alice. Make it sound like a command if you have to, werewolves kind of follow a chain of command." as I spoke i could feel her presence in my own mind like she was so close but impossibly far away.

"So like demand that she hears my voice or my thoughts? All werewolves can do that?" she asked perplexed.

"Well not all werewolves, but just try it."

"Anything for you. I'm going to try now. I love you Gabe, more than life itself." she said to me so sweetly, making me feel the best I have since she was taken.

"I love you to the moon and back" I smiled to myself.

I'm a f*****g werewolf? Gabriel is a f*****g werewolf? Thats why we were so drawn together was the werewolf mate bond? My head was spinning with everything Gabriel just told me. As crazy as it was, it all made sense.

"Well that was fast" one of the crew said as he walked in with two buckets of water along with a second man also carrying two buckets. "Did your mind finally snap, looked like you were having quite the chat with yourself on the camera"

"Well I find our conversations rather lacking in any interest or intellectual input from your side" I mocked him as they tossed the freezing water on me washing off all the blood.

"Four hours for the flesh wounds to heal and it looks like the bones are still healing" he ignored me and the other man made notes before they left the room again.

I shivered from the cold and winced from the pain of my healing bones, but I could move again and didn't have any scars except the missing n****e.

I sat thinking if I could reach out to Alice and how, it seemed impossible. Then again this all did.

Alice I order you to hear my thoughts!

I waited but nothing.

Alice I order you to let me hear your thoughts!

What the fuck...Hope?!

Alice it worked! Did it work?!

Oh thank God, Gabe said Max could feel you were alive. I can't believe this is working!

Your still screaming. How are you doing this how did you talk to Gabriel?

Sorry I've only talked to Gabe but that was different, like visions. Is this better?

Much better. You've been talking to Gabriel through visions, do they know where we are? Do you know what he is?

We've both been having visions since the first few days here, but we just found out that both of us have been having them and can talk. No but they have boats coming in our general direction from both sides. He's a werewolf and apparently they turned me into one as well, but I haven't turned into a wolf.

Don't turn into a wolf whatever you do! Stay calm and in control Hope. You don't want to turn into one of the things down here.

I haven't felt the urge to yet, but I'll do my best. Are you okay, what have the injections done to you?

Its made me stronger, I think its feeding whatever it is that makes me a werewolf. A lot of people weren't as lucky there's over sixty dead.

Fuck I'm sorry Alice, but I'm glad your alive.

I think I've had it easy compared to you, we heard they've been torturing you.

Yeah I went through two fun filled sessions, the f*****g bastard even cut my f*****g n****e off.

My hands and feet are chained down and I'm in a steel room. I never hear the door lock when they come and go. Where are you?

They have us in a cell. There's eight of us left and the others are wolves that they can control. They are going to give us the same injection soon, but I have a plan to escape.

As soon as I finished talking to Hope I focused my thoughts on having Max come see me. I barely finished sending a text to David with the information that Hope gave me when Max came running in.

"Whats wrong, what happened?!" he shouted looking half mad.

"Woah I didn't mean to freak you out. I talked to Hope, she's trying to reach out to Alice... If I can do it with other people, she should be able to as well. I wanted you to be here when I found out."

"Fuuuuck, okay thanks, but that was intense man. You really got to work on that." he sighed as he threw himself onto the couch.

"Or use your f*****g phone!" he just noticed my phone in my hand.

"Uhhh ya I guess, but I didn't know what form you were in." I laughed at him.

"Misery brothers don't laugh like that" he pointed out.

"I know, but I actually had a conversation with Hope. And I have a good feeling like we're finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel" he started to smile and I just shrugged at him.

"Ahh f**k, Alice just got a major headache!" Max was holding his head and squinting his eyes.

"You alright what can I do?" I looked at him concerned.

He just shook his head and held his head for a few moments while I watched him.

"Ugh it's gone now, maybe Hope is worse then you with the whole mind s**t?" he laughed.

While we waited I told him about the conversation with Hope and that I texted David who was going to narrow down the ships even more.

"Gabe I did it" I heard Hope's beautiful voice.

"You're amazing baby tell me everything!" Max gave me a weird look then realized I wasn't talking to him anymore.

"Well?!" Max asked excitedly after I said bye to Hope.

"Alice says she loves you and that she's okay" as I told him he jumped up and gave me a bear hug.

"Oh f**k ya bud!" he cheered and hugged me again.

"And they got a plan" he sat back down to show that he was listening.

I told him everything Hope told me and their plan to escape.

"I got to call David and make plans the best we can for an extraction once they're in the water." Max nodded with an exalted smile on his face.

"We're getting our girls back soon!"
