The days that followed were a blur of lectures, study sessions, and late-night coffee runs. Lily found herself constantly thinking about Eros, his captivating smile, his piercing blue eyes, and the way he made her heart race. She tried to ignore him, to focus on her studies and her friends, but she couldn't shake the feeling that something special was brewing between them.
One afternoon, as Lily was rushing to her next class, she bumped into Eros in the hallway. She stumbled back, her books scattering across the floor.
"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!" Lily exclaimed, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment.
Eros chuckled, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "No worries. It happens to the best of us."
He bent down to help her gather her books, his fingers brushing against hers in a fleeting touch that sent a jolt of electricity through her. Lily felt her heart pounding in her chest, and she couldn't help but notice the faint scent of his cologne, a mix of sandalwood and citrus that was both intoxicating and alluring.
"Thanks," Lily murmured, her voice barely a whisper.
"You're welcome," Eros replied, his gaze lingering on her for a moment longer than necessary. "I'm Eros, by the way."
"Lily," she replied, her voice trembling slightly.
"Nice to meet you, Lily," Eros said, his smile widening. "I've seen you around campus. You're in Professor Thompson's class, right?"
Lily nodded, her heart pounding in her chest. She couldn't believe that he had noticed her. She had been so caught up in her own world that she hadn't realized he had been paying attention to her.
"I'm actually in that class too," Eros said, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "Maybe we can study together sometime?"
Lily's heart skipped a beat. She couldn't believe he was asking her out. She had to be careful, she knew, but she couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement.
"I'd like that," she replied, her voice barely a whisper.
