Juliette's expression looked utterly innocent.
After a long pause, Camilla closed her eyes. "Go ahead and take them. They're gifts for all of you."
Only then did the roommates move. They picked up the items one by one, thanking Juliette as they did so.
As if out of sheer generosity, Juliette even left one set on Camilla's desk.
Camilla got out of bed, walked over, and set it straight back down in front of her. "I don't want it."
"Why not?" Juliette stood up and deliberately bumped hard against her.
Already feeling unwell, Camilla's head spun violently from the impact. She barely managed to steady herself by gripping the bedrail.
Juliette pouted. "I brought this one back just for you. No one else got special treatment." She paused for a moment, then her lips curled into a sly smile. "Does it hurt to see that these are things Cross gave me? If you're feeling upset…"
Camilla cut her off sharply, "Those items were originally gifts that I bought and sent to his mother. Only you would be so proud to accept gifts offered through someone else's hands. Now... apologize to me!"
Juliette froze, staring at her in disbelief. "What did you just say?"
"You bumped into me on purpose. Apologize!"
Juliette's eyes turned icy. She folded her arms across her chest. "Apologize? Me?"
Camilla held her gaze, refusing to back down an inch.
Seeing the tension rise, all the roommates stood up one after another, watching them closely.
Just then, someone knocked on the dormitory door. A female classmate from their department stepped inside.
"Is Camilla here? I came to drop off something for you from Hayden."
