After a war against Vampires the Fang Howlers pack tried to recover and live a normal life.

Alpha Ethan, shortly after that, met his mate. But it was not as expected. She was abused, drugged, weak and believed he bought her to become her master and she had to obey him. Quickly after that, female warriors began to disapear without a trace. The vampires attack from the war might have been the cause.

They tried to find a way to fight this evil, before realising that her scared mate, was the key to save them.

At home
-Servant- It was 6 in the morning. Servant walked toward the kitchen, salivating as she cooked for Alpha Clayton and his family. She never took any cooking classes, yet, her heart and mind knew all about it , making her do incredible things, tasty things. Although, as much as her cooking skills were great, she was not allowed to eat without permission. She could only eat left overs and was prohibited to make more food just to have some more. Every day felt painful and forgetful. Her skin felt glued to her bones, her stomach knotted into a ball and the bruises she received daily made her uncomfortable, but she knew she would forget almost everything in the morning. Sometimes, she wondered how she was still alive or if she was better off dead. Only Clayton's family was allowed to casually come in and out of the house, but he took his important meetings home. When that happened, he would hide her, lock her away for anyone not to meet her. Still, if she was seen, she was covered all over with a long black and loose dress to hide her bones and thin shape, a black veil over her head and gloves. Nothing to see. Only her pearly black eyes were showing, but barely. Just enough so she could see straight ahead. After she put the food on the table, Gregory, the Alpha's son, walked toward the food, pushing Servant on the ground. A loud "c***k" resounded, then a laugh. He thought it was fun. She broke her thin arm falling over it. "What a weak b*tch". Without a single sound escaping her lips, she simply stood again and walked toward her next task. The pain made her bite her lips so hard she might have severed it. She recovered quite fast from that kind of injury, but not fast enough since she had not eaten yet nor drunk any water. She watched the washing machine, rubbing her arm as she tried to relieve the pain. Vanessa, the Luna, noticed how she tried to delay the task . The woman made her way to her with a mean desire to make her wish she was dead. Why would her husband, her mate, want a mere servant, an anomaly like her into their house? She despised her. Hated her gut. She scare her. She thought she was ugly, smelly and useless. Clayton always said it was best to keep a slave to do menial jobs. Plus, he paid a lot back then to have that child. But she was a handfull. He probably bought her from Christian, a Lycan from an other land, who came to visit 18 years ago. He proposed the child for s*****y and offered drugs to maintain her. Clayton's was drunk and agreed to buy the child. They religiously gave her the drug every day. "What a creep." Once or twice, they forgot to gave it to her and weird stuff happened. Chairs flying over the room, weird apparitions, scary voices, the sound of steps running in the hallway when everybody was in their bed and those nightmares... That "liar" always said she had nothing to do with it. Oh, she wanted to kill her. Get rid of her. Vanessa threw her a death glare. Servant's eyes were fixed on the ground as her body shook from fear and pain. Vanessa suddenly grabbed her injured arm to pull her close. Vanessa: You think you can slack off, little b*tch? Don't you dare resist me you useless piece of s*it. I've been teaching you manners for so long, so why can't you just obey? You are disgusting and ugly. Not good enough for anything. Your whole life is misery and as long as you live under MY roof, you are not allowed to SLACK OFF! You hear me? With a quick gesture that defied wind she slapped the side of her cheek with all her might, making her fall to the ground. Only a fain moan escaped. That sound infuriated her. She grabbed her hair through the veil and lifted her off the floor as she did nothing to stop her. She knew it could be worse if she tried something. Anyway, her body was too weak to defend herself. Vanessa: Tell me... does my husband take advantage of your disgusting mouth? I hope not... If he does, I'll end you, you pathetic... Clayton: Vanessa, what are you talking about? She instantly released her, hearing her mate's voice. She glared at him. Clayton: It's far too nasty to be used that way. It's time to eat, go. Let that slave do her job if you want clean clothes. Vanessa walked away without fighting. Clayton kept looking at Servant in contempt before joining his mate for breakfast. The thin girl was glad they left and Clayton didn't do anything to her. He was far worse than Vanessa when things wouldn't go his way. Everytime he had a bad day, he would beat her up until she was unconscious, then he would scream at her like it was her fault. But that day was a "good day". Only one broken arm that healed during the evening and a slap. She felt as if it was her "lucky day". A lucky day indeed, she had a feeling that something life-changing would happen. - Ethan Rivera- After training, making plans and having an online meeting with the Alpha from the Fairmoon pack about the vampire attack, he felt relieved. Vampire was no longer a threat and Fairmoon had become a formidable asset to ally grounds. He finally had time to prepare his uncle's funeral and mourn in peace. It was a beautiful day for a funeral though. His beta Henry - a tall slender man with blue eyes and brown skin- and Gamma Jasmine - short green hair with green eyes, she had a muscular body and large feet. She was also very tall and masculine- tried to cheer him up and it worked a little. He was not so sad. His uncle fought bravely against threats and died a hero. There was no point in being too sad. Instead, he was proud. Henry: hey don't forget... we have to meet the Bloodcrest pack later today. They needed aid since they were in the middle of that war. Maybe they could be our allies? Erh! Who am I kidding? The king of suffering wants you to give him money cause' apparently you destroyed a part of their borders with that bedonkadonk thing. Ethan Rivera sighted. He always despised Alpha Clayton. This bald old man had this unholy look in his eyes. Everytime they tried to negotiate, he always ended up asking for more. Yet they were "close". Not that close, they were closer to the Fairmoon pack, but still, enough to get attention when something went wrong and it happened often. Plus, yes, they did destroy a tiny part of their forest. Without live casualties, Ethan was just protecting his allies, but compensation should be in order. Meanwhile, being friendly with them was out of the question. There were rumors about his ruling. Once, Ethan heard that Clayton coldly killed a pack member for entering his home without authorisation. He refused to aid when their sister pack was in danger. He was greedy, selfish, cold, merciless and unreasonable. They were not a big pack, a small threat for the Fang Howlers pack if they ever went to war with them, still, they were all cold-blooded there. Moreover, the Fairmoon would be the first to suffer if they ever strike and right now, after this war, they were all weaker. He sighed loudly again. Ethan: When? Henry: In an hour, we should be leaving. Ethan nodded. An hour later, the funeral ended and they went on their way.
