Chapter 6

"MIKA!" One lady jumped and wave her hand. And for some reason, I did not see them immediately when the only person that is here are us and them. I smiled awkwardly. How come they know me when I just showed up here now? "Oh, sorry, I broke the plan." She said as she laughed whilst as looking at her comrades. Zyrhine joined her, and almost everyone is glaring at them. Am I that important to prepare something without my presence? Or is this really the normal greetings they gave to a new student? That is weird, it feels like they are so outgoing to the point that it will pressure me to be like and with them all the time… But well? Who says no to a new group of friend in a world you have no knowledge of? “Serene!” “Zyrhine!” They almost stated all in unison. Displeasure and dismay could be heard from their voices. “How dare you!” Wade shouted, index finger pointed at Zyrhine. Zyrhine, on the other hand, drew him a look and slapped his hands away from him. “Why do you care?” Zyrhine rebutted, glaring at Wade. And fro some reason, their names managed to carve themselves onto my brain. His and Zyrhine's name is worth remembering. They made a f*****g storm, in my presence, for freaking out loud! “You ruined the surprise!” “There is a surprise?” Zyrhine stated, looking as innocent as ever. Yeah, there is a fight about to happen here. Words? Oh, that's not it. They literally fight, as in a hand to hand combat. Zyrhine was the one who attacked first and Wade blocked and began attacking as well. “You bastard! Who attacks a lady in a fight?!” Zyrhine shouted and began trowing some spiral winds at Wade. “What an irony! Your actions contradicts your words! You attacked me first and all I did is to defend!” Wade shouted as splashes of water began to emerge, just again. And I'm here, staring at them like what is going on here?!Is this even allowed here? Wade is literally throwing water balls at Zyrhine who's been dodging it and throwing needle- shaped at Wade who, on the other hand, has been dissolving it with his water shield. "Ehe..." I awkwardly smiled. The others doesn't seem bothered, but eh?! Besides, ain't it f*******n to use magic and attack one another in SCHOOL PREMISES?! Or do they have some sort of exemptions? "GOOD AFTERNOON, CLASS!" Someone shouted as he arrived in this ground. He looked around when no one greeted him back and saw the disaster in front of him. “I was just gone for ten whole minutes and this is what you’ve been to? What a sha--” And then, he somehow managed to turn his head and saw me. That is what caused his abrupt stop in his lecture. “Oh, a newbie?” He asked the crowd. At least the ones who are sane enough not to create a fight amongst themselves. And they all nodded. That is when he turned to look at me. "What's your name??" "Mika...?" I answered, full of hesitations. "Did they introduced themselves?" He asked. I nodded. “Some of them did, sir.” I answered in words trying to ignore the crisis happening in front of us. “Yeah--Shits!” I exclaimed almost out of context. Except that a water ball literally hit me. “What on Aquariah is that for?!” I shouted as I pivoted to their way. And of course, as I expected, they didn't even heard me. “You fight as if you don’t have feelings for each other, eh? Why do you do that?” I whispered under my breath, hoping they'll not hear it. But to no avail, they turned to me with a glare. I smiled at them and raised my hand for a peace sign but I did not took back what I’ve said. They are the trope everyone looks up for, a rival to lover type of match. One thing that is difficult to start. "Okay!! That's enough!!" The mysterious man who arrived awhile ago said. Feels like the two didn't hear him and continued attacking each other. I saw him raised a staff, and both freezes. My jaw almost fell. What on heavens? "So, I am Mr. Varg," he said as he turned to me with a smile. “Instructor of your group in terms of combat, long or short ranged combat. Nice to meet you, Mika.” He’d said, extending his hands and shaking mine. It was after that that he unfroze the two and shouted, “Introduced yourselves, students! I want to hear how you introduce yourselves as the main pride of your kingdoms!” After he stated those words, they all gathered infrom of us and started the process of introduction just again. "I'm Princess Selene Scarlett Rospear of the Faiezard Republic.” She started. What is Faiezard (pronunciation: fey-sard), you ask? It is another kingdom or country that caters fairies and wizards under its premise. It is an empire that runs and relies in what magic can do for them, along with the help of science and technology that runs through implantation of magical objects into it. It is one of the highest kingdoms ever built. “Daughter of the President.” She continued. “I am a mix of both Werewolf, wizards, and Fairies. And thus, the name.” Selene is a beautiful lady. Hair so long it reached her buttocks, hair as black as ebony of we compared it to Snow White. She has a very white skin, so light you could compare her to a ghost. But it somehow complemented her so beautifully. Her eyes are as golden as ones of a cat. Almost the same in comparison as they also seem to constrict according to her will. "Zyrhine Wynonette Alcantara, from Nhidria. Daughter of Duke Alcantara of the West. I am an air mage!!" She said. But there is only one thing that got my attention. Her eyes. They are mismatched. Why is that? But I did not ask. Maybe the right time will come and thus answer those questions. She said she came from Nhidria (pronunciation: ni-dri-ya), and the kingdom of Nhidria is the holder of the element of air. Inhabitants in here are known to have wings of their own growing the moment they turn twelve, but those unlucky could have taught of the magic the air could be if wielded correctly. "I'm Wade. Prince Wade Steven Edilloran of the Kingdom of Aquariah." He introduced himself with a smile. This boy is actually pretty cute. Hair not so long bust still looking good on him. And it was in blue, navy blue. What beauty. And he said he is from this place, the kingdom that cater water magic, Aquariah (pronunciation: ak-wa-ri-ya) is the kingdom that wields the element of water. It could have been the smallest kingdom among the seven, but it is considered the strongest and most powerful empire to ever exist. When he was done speaking, another faced me. Razzien. "Count Razzien Liam Mirona. From Rifiah. Fire mage." And as he said, Rifiah (pronunciation: ri-fi-ya) is the home for the wielder of the fire element. One might think this kingdom must be ridiculously poor as it is the exact opposite of Aquariah, but it is not. Fire can be of anything, and without it, the world would have frozen over. Fire can be harnessed in anywhere and anything and this kingdom provides the finest weaponries and other metal products ever known. This kingdom is the most lucrative among the seven kingdoms. This human over here seemed to be the finest of his kind. Hair just enough to reach his shoulders, and are slightly curly, wavy, in that matter. Just like his magic, his hair is in the darkest shade of red, maroon, almost. His eyes in the shade of the darkest brown possible, skin also tanned, but darker than of Wade himself. It really did complimented him. He then stepped back and another came to view. "Prince Voughn Darwin Serrano. From the Kingdom of Ythreah. Earth mage." He said, voice as cold as metal. Gawd! If Razzien had this look that makes you feel that he’s annoyed at everything you did, well, this one had the voice that will make you shiver to your bones if you listened it more than a minute. And he has this dark brown color of hair, like soil themselves. “And why do you look at me like that?” “Sorry, I was observing. I cannot do that?” I answered back. Well, I mean? Ythreah (pronunciation: i-tre-ya) is the kingdom that is associated to the element of the earth. And since earth and/or soil is a prominent element, they are one of the rising empire to ever be built, next to Aquariah. "Prince Phoenix Ace Silveheart. From the Empire of Werflaight." Said by a man with a hair that I really cannot identify. It was white, like if you’d think of white, it could be his hair. He looks like an albino child but then only his hair that is white. There is no other factor contributing of that theory since has blue eyes, not red. But anyways, Werflaight (pronunciation: wer-fleyt) is the leading empire. It harness the element of light, the element of the sun. Inhabitants of this empire has the ability to make use of the light of whether the sun or the moon, they can use and channel it to be used for greater good. Most of the citizens here were taught to use the light element to heal, just like the usual. “Uhm, so let me get this clear… you use light, or at least the light of the sun for your own magic, do you not?” I clarified. Just because. “Yes,” he answered. As simple as that. I nodded back and smiled at them all. For some reason, I just know whatever the heck they tell me when it comes to this world. As if the moment the name of the kingdom was spoken, my brain gives a vision of how and what it looks like at the moment as it explains or recall the details I need to know about that certain word. Is this magic? Well, I certainly don’t know. But I felt familiarity as I process this stuffs I am forcing to my brain. “Hi, I am Mika. And that is all I have right now.” I also introduced myself. “I hope to know you better in the long run.” I’d said again and smiled at them. Not a moment passed and out instructor for today’s meeting started talking. "Let's start the lesson for today!! Just a little bit more or--" He did not get to finish what he was going to say when suddenly, loud voice rang across the place. As to how they manage to do that without any speakers around? I guess that leaves us to one simple answer, magic. "TO ALL STUDENTS OF XYNTILLIET ACADEMY, PLEASE PROCEED TO THE OPEN GROUND." It was repeated thrice. Loud enough for the whole Academy to hear however large it is. “What?! I did not even get to start!” Mr Varg said, almost whining. “Go on, child! Leave as I do not want to be held responsible of your late arrival!” He shouted again, pushing us all out. They all bid their goodbyes laughing at him. Most of them turned to a run. And only two were left with me.
