“Nope, just know about the place. But really, how come this place is this wide? Are you sure this is even a school? It feels like it’s once a kingdom that fell and you people somehow managed to find and restore it to it’s beauty and just turn it to a school... Or is that what happened?” I inquired, just again. We can’t let the cat die, can we? And that cat unfortunately needs more than just one answers. But he stood there, blinking., As if I asked something that is not normally asked.
How is that not normally asked?! That is the most normal question I can put up at this moment! Come on!
“Actually… no.” He said, trailing off his words. “How did you come up with that? Isn’t the creation of this school a common knowledge? I though we are all told that the school was build all through the use of magic and nothing else?” I looked at him incredulously.
“You mean to say that you, or I’m hoping most that only most of you, believed this place is actually being held up by magic alone? You must be mad to think that is true!”
“Well, it could be, could it?”
“I mean, if you are as powerful as a god to actually raise up a whole kingdom-like school such as this one and held it up for more that a hundred years? I recon? And not be drained or die in the process-- I mean, wouldn't dying also be catastrophic too since if they were the one holding the buildings and everything together?”
“Are you insinuating that there is something wrong with the stories?” He asked, looking at me as if he was as serious as he is in an examination hall. I shrugged.
“Maybe, but that story is a lot more faulty than the ones I’ve written when I was a child.” I answered. I continued walking and he followed after me. It took us about a minute or two of silence before he abruptly stopped.
“Did you also know why this school stood up as high and wide and beautiful as it is, dear girl?” He spoke again, asking questions this time. What if I happen to know? Would that make me someone to be wary of? The real legend behind this walls are of something that one would not believe if the story were told unexpurgated.
“No, I actually don’t.” I answered back. He somehow managed to come in front of me and lead the way whilst as speaking.
“The stories we were told, or at least the textbook did were that this Academy has been raised through the use of pure magic.” He started, still leading the way of to wherever we are supposed to be going. “And that this entire place is created to honor the very first ruler of Aquariah, and the very first people that lived and mastered the gift of waters.”
“So, just like the ones they've written in novels, eh?”
“Yes, except that this one is real life. This one isn’t just a world made by a writer. This thing is real and everything you see and experience is all the truth.”
“Are you sure about that?”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean… Can you actually trust the history here?” I asked with a questioning smile. Are you sure it is not that is written? “Maybe it is indeed not created by a writer, but are you sure that the whole existence of this world isn’t just a product of someone else imaginations?”
“What do you mean?”
“You’ve asked that twice now, dear boy.” I chimed, smiling as innocent as I can. “I know you already know this things, Wade.” I whispered. “Do you not?”
“You’re right.” He replied, confirming. “I know the true stories behind this walls.” He whispered. “But how did you?” He asked and I shrugged.
“I’m well read.” I replied, knowing that is not the truth and I uttered a complete lie. “But anyway, we’ve been walking for thirty minutes straight! Are we near?!” I exclaimed, and he laughed at my whines. Really, now!
“Nope-- shit.” He replied, but seemingly changed to something else that fast. So as the wind around us.
“Are you alright?”
“Uhm--”
“HELLO!” A voice exclaimed, shouted, I’d recon. And I was shocked by the sudden loudness of the voice I almost shouted myself. I still can feel my heart beating too fast!
“Ahh! Shits-- Heey!” It was Wade who said that, nudging the girl a little away from me. “Leave her personal space alone. Zy!” He said. The lady blinked. And then smiled.
“I am sorry-- who is she?” She said, looking straight to my eyes, as if she was studying the structure of my whole face. I think she’s the princes of Nhidria, knowing Wade is probably the prince of Aquariah and these two… “WADE! Why don’t you introduce us, hmm?” Always bickers. Guess I’m the middle person now, am I not?
“Arghh!” He whined. “You have you’re own mouth! Why don’t you introduce yourself!” He exclaimed and rolled his eyes. The girl did not say a thing, she just stared at him for a good half a minute before he broke and rolled his eyes again. “Mika, this Zyrhine Wynonette, one of our dorm mates.” He said, as lazy as he can. Defeated. “And Zy, this is Mika, our new dorm and school mate.” He said.
I smiled at the girl and raised my hand, just a proper decorum of greeting a royalty-- oh wait! Was that supposed to be a bow? A salute? I don’t know! Better settle for the usual eh! “Hi!” I greeted. “Good… uh… day?”
“Hi Mika!” She greeted, smiling so prettily at me. She seems to be this type of girl that everyone will love the moment they manage to spend time with her. She was so pretty, and sounds so innocent. That somehow contrasts to how she and Wade acts right now. As if they have enemies for life. And counting. “Where did you meet this piece of s**t over here?” She said pointing a thumb at Wade.
“Hey!” He reacted, slapping that hand away.
“Oh, the dormitories. He was somehow there the moment I opened my door.” I answered.
“Creepy…” She replied, head turning slowly to look at Wade who was standing in between us, looking annoyed as he is.
Am I supposed to laugh?
No words were further exchanged as water and wind started to swirl between them two.
No, I supposed I wasn’t, then.
Am I supposed to excuse myself and just let them?
I wasn’t able to, as a hurricane started forming just above us three. There was rain, and there was wind harsh enough it almost took me to a flight.
No, I supposed I wasn’t, then. As I am not able to do so.
I’m wet. Drenched, even! Every part of what I’m wearing is freaking wet! Like they just poured a whole bucked of water on me! And it’s freezing cold! Like what the heck are they even doing? Are they planning to trigger a whole storm here?
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!” Another voice arrived, tone deep enough to top the two off. They abruptly stopped, looked at each other, and then suddenly just disappeared. And as if nothing happened, the sky cleared up and the wind toned down. But I, on the other hand, is still shivering of the cold that the water somehow inflicted onto my skin. I feel like my skin is now absorbing it. Brr~ “AND YOU--”
“Oh, chill, sire!” I said, raising both hands and still shaking because of the creeping col. “I have not done anything concerning the two of them.” I explained. “I just somehow managed to get myself tangled between the two.”
“I know that, silly one.” He’d whispered. Voice still deep but I guess that’s how he normally sound eh? Sounds menacing, really. “It’s not as if you could contribute to that kind of storm they somehow managed to conjure.” He observed. I raised an eyebrow at him but also nodded. Because he was right. Not as if I could, really. But what if I can?
“Yeah, that is indeed a storm…” I whispered back voice actually quivering along with my words. That is when I saw him roll his eyes. “Hey!”
“Here, let me.” He’d said, offering his hand.
“What?”
“I said if you’d allow me?”
“Allow you to what?” I asked again. And he seemed to be having enough and so he raised his hand above my head. I was speculating. However, the thing that happened next is utterly unexpected as I felt warmth travel to the entirety of my body. Like the sun rays on morning light. Not too hot nor too cold, just enough to soothe the skin.
“What is that?” I inquired. Something about him gives me the idea that he is a fire mage, and that showcasing his power like that actually gives it away.
“I’m Razzien." He introduced himself.
"Oh?? Mika," As I did.
"And that's all about you??"
“Why? Are expecting something else? That I could somehow manage to destroy the world and re build it again in mare seconds?” I replied sarcastically and laughed at it. “Kidding aside, I really have nothing else aside from my name.” I sigh. “How about you? How did you do that?”
“I have the element of fire as my main mastered magic. I think that gives an explanation to the question?” He said with a little bit of a smile. I nodded. It does, indeed. Just a confirmation of what I’ve been thinking, though. “I’m awesome, I know! He said, obviously bragging. I rolled my eyes at him again, but he was right though. “Let’s go?” He offered.
“I’m assuming you are also one of our dorm mates so yeah, lead the way, please.” And so he did.
It took us just about ten minutes of complete silence before we managed to reach the right destination. “We’re here!” He announce, holding up a hand and seemingly showing the place we are in. It was an open field, all of greenery.
“Where are we?”
“The training grounds.” He answered. The training ground mentioned is a wide field that seems to be located in the middle of a forest for I can see trees surrounding it. It is huge to the point that this could fit a whole other university if they want to. Just how wide is this school, really?
