Jorjette’s POV
My eyes flew open immediately, I was whisked away from my mind and back to reality. I gritted my teeth, trying to endure the pain. Roman tightened his hand around me, it was obvious that he was in pain too but I could feel a stream of cooling energy coming from him.
“Can you hold on?” He asked through the mind link.
“You can let go now. You don't have to subject yourself to this pain.”
Even in this, he was still trying to look out for me. Though the pain was too much and I was tempted to let go so I could breathe how could I leave him alone?
