The Unspoken Female Alpha Broken History "Cease! Please! What is the purpose of your actions? Do not hurt them, please!" I begged. "You have to flee, Helen! Uncle James is right; follow him! Now go!" My dad let out a yell at me. He slung me over a shoulder as soon as he said those things. I was thrashing about, yelling, kicking, trying to get down. "Uncle, please, we must assist them! Please, mother! Dad of mine! The group! They require us! Would you please?" My cries went unanswered. Uncle James was running through the trees and jumping over logs as he made his way around the pack. He was travelling in the exact opposite way from my desired path. I stopped pleading and started crying softly. I put my face deep into Uncle James's back. I do not know how long we ran, but my eight-year-old body finally gave up from fatigue. "Wake up, Helen, my sweetie. Helen." Uncle James shook my shoulders gently and muttered. I became anxious as soon as I opened my eyes. My gaze was flitting about the cavernous edifice we were in. My thoughts were racing, recalling the incidents that brought us to this point. Taking in all the wounds, blood, and bruises covering Uncle James's body, I gazed at him. I do not know when I started crying again, but I did not realise I was crying until he used his thumb to wipe the hot tears from my face. "I know this is all very upsetting for you, sweetheart, but I need you to listen carefully to what I am going to say." Gently, he spoke to me. I forced myself to put on a strong face as I gazed up into his emerald eyes. "We had an attack on our pack tonight. Regretfully, I am not sure whether anyone will survive, but your parents are resilient and will stop at nothing to preserve their history at Silver Shadow." He asked me whether I understood him by looking directly into my eyes. I gave him a signal to carry on. "We have passed into the Mystic Moon Pack territory and left our own zone behind. We are going to take a nap in this cave; if somebody discovers us, please know that Helen Jones is an omega. Just before the attack began, you were able to escape from the group. No one is able to identify you. I promise you are not Helen Haywood anymore. It is not secure. Do you get it? I agree to lie because, for some reason, I feel that this is essential. I am not sure why. Of course, I will follow Uncle James' advice since who am I to question my dad's Beta? "Dear sweetie, what is your name?" He queries. "I am an omega, Helen Jones. When the terrible people arrived, I fled." I answered. "Well done, girl. This is how we are going to protect you, do you understand?" We made the decision to sleep after that in order to have the energy to proceed to the next safe location. For the rest of the night, I tossed and turned on the hard, cold cave floor. It was the Broken Past. I had the worst sleep of my life. I was afraid for both the pack and my parents. With my parents, I had my favourite breakfast, which made my day start off wonderfully! pancakes made with blueberries, tonnes of syrup, and whipped cream on top. Since it was my birthday, Mum baked them. After spending the remainder of the morning at the playground, we left into the human town at lunchtime in order to pick up something to wear to my birthday supper with the pack. With its flowing tulle skirt, my gorgeous purple dress gave me a princess-like appearance. I was so in love with it that my mother let me to wear it back to our home region so we could immediately begin the celebrations. Then things started to go wrong. Warriors on patrol were doing their hardest to keep the wolves back as they were flooding into our land from every point of entrance. Next, dad let out a scream over the mindlink, alerting the pack that another pack and rogues were closing in. We need to head for the bunkers, he said. A wolf suddenly leaped in front of us as we were going back to the pack home, and Mum grabbed my hand. I will always remember how it appeared. Its fur was a nasty dark colour and not at all silky. His mouth was full of sharp yellow teeth, and he was growling at us with crimson eyes. I broke out in tears and screamed. I fled, only to find my mother and father after me. Dad had already transitioned into his enormous wolf Flame by the time I discovered him. He has smooth jet black fur, and his deep green eyes match dad's. He is much taller than any of the other wolves in our pack since he is an Alpha. All aside from Dahlia, Mum's wolf, of course! Dahlia is an Alpha wolf too, but unlike her father, she has snow-white fur with a black patch on her stomach. She and Flame are about the same size. Like her mother, she has gorgeous dark blue eyes that resemble sapphire stones. Flame ran as quickly as he could to me upon seeing me, and Dahlia followed him. Underneath them, they were hiding me until Uncle James's steel grey wolf Artemis could reach me. Next, we took off running. When light began to stream into the cave, I awoke. It appeared that Uncle James had also had a restless night. He transformed into Artemis, then lowered himself to the point where I could balance on his back, prepared to discover our next secure refuge. To collect some water and give me a brief bath, Artemis stopped by a river. We heard twigs snapping behind us in the tree line as I pulled my now-tattered purple dress back on after getting out of the water. Artemis was ready to defend me at whatever cost, and she was on the defensive. Then it happened—the very moment I was terrified would occur. Five wolves emerged from under the trees, hunched over and prepared to attack. "You have to flee, Helen. You have to run, my love; I will stop them from pursuing you." Uncle James sent me a mind link. I was unable to mindlink my wolf back because he will not be in my mind till I am sixteen. I could only shake my head nay and cry. "THRIVE IN THE FALL! RIGHT NOW! VISIT MYSTIC MOON!" The wolves were closing in on him when he yelled across the link. I awoke, breathless and drenched in sweat. I tried to catch my breath and choked on my saliva. It took me about a minute to get my breathing under control. "It was only a fantasy." I addressed my empty room out loud. "Are you alright, buttercup? I am aware of how terrible those dreams are to go through. With sadness in its tone, the voice inside my thoughts said. Yes, I am OK, Ella. Still, hey! We were able to recall more of that dream than the others, at least." I answered my wolf. Through it all, she has been my rock, always keeping me grounded and trying her hardest to cheer me up. It is said that werewolves cannot communicate with their wolf spirit until they are sixteen years old. However, Ella appeared to me on my ninth birthday night. She has been a huge support in helping me grieve over my parents, Uncle James, and my pack. She has also assisted me in adjusting to the way the Mystic Moon pack treats me as a "wolfless omega." She stays out of the public eye and will continue to do so until her first shift at age 18, which is in a few days.
