With Noah's assistance, they eventually made it to the infirmary after stumbling slowly. "Come straight to Sophia's ward," Altmann urged her via their mindlink before she could visit a doctor about her wounds. Chelsy felt the chills of his icy voice running down her spine, yet she lacked the guts to ignore him. She felt a sense of dread as she approached Cindy's ward, even as her legs walked slowly in that direction. Would Altmann believe Cindy only once if he had been on her side the entire time? At least this once, she prayed to the Moon Goddess that he would believe her. Chelsy inhaled deeply as she stood in front of Cindy's ward and pushed the door open, only to meet Altmann's icy stare. I froze in my place at Altmann's icy stare. The fact that I was still soaking and that the cold hadn't gone away didn't help. I felt even colder looking at him, like if I was back in the freezing water. He gave a strong instruction, "Stay there!" He didn't seem to mind that my arms and forehead were covered in droplets of blood, leaving scarlet splotches on the ward's white floor. The doctor was evaluating Cindy, who was laying on the bed and appeared weak and pale. Outside the ware were the Gamma couples, several pack members, and nurses. Outside the ward, I could hear the pack members whispering to each other. "I can't believe the Luna dared to push Cindy down the cliff." "Who would have thought that she was so heartless?" "It's clear that she was envious. Cindy is preferred by the Alpha above the Luna. She probably intended to murder Cindy because she perceived her as a threat." I felt myself turning pale as I heard their harsh comments and saw everyone in the room look at me accusingly. I bit my lip and clenched my t-shirt tight. It ached. After doing several checks and placing Cindy on the drip, the doctor remarked, "I'm sorry, but we couldn't save your baby." To me, the doctor's comments seemed like a death sentence. Cindy started sobbing uncontrollably. "Why? Why must I experience this? Not only did I lose my partner, but I also lost the one gift he gave me. I lost our little one!" Cindy let out a mournful moan. I could even be moved to tears by her portrayal of a grieving widow who had lost her child, if I didn't know the truth. "Chelsy!" Milla, Altmann's sister, sprang up to face me and slapped my cheek with a high-five. I was caught off guard and unable to avoid or stop her. My friend didn't even attempt to stop his sister—he just gave us a chilly stare. She gave me a frown and asked, "Are you happy now?" "You killed her child! You really are horrible to have pushed her off the precipice! Give her a kneeling apology!" Attracted to Altmann and attempting to clarify, "Altmann, I can ex-plain..." Altmann gave a smirk. "What are your limits? that in order for everyone to believe that you were also a victim, you violently shoved her off the cliff and leaped with her." However, she forced herself down the precipice and dragged me with her! " Frantically, I sought to unravel what had actually transpired. Do you believe that everyone is blind and foolish? Would Cindy jump from the cliff even though it would be harmful to her health? Altmann growled. "But I really didn't push her!" I told him the truth and continued to try to defend myself. "Enough!" With a roar, Altmann exuded an Alpha aura that caused everyone, me included, to shrink in fear. "Stop lying and trying to slander Cindy." "You have taken my brother's child's life. Just as Milla had said, get down on your knees and apologise to Cindy” He remarked icily. I froze in place once again at what he said. Why didn't he accept me as true? What made him trust the statements of an outsider but not those of his friend? Was it really true that Cindy was his true love?” I didn't even want to bend down or apologize to Cindy. It was embarrassing for my friend to ask me to complete those two tasks! It infuriated me as well. "I refuse to bow or offer an apology. I snarled, "I did nothing wrong. He stated coldly, "I will dissolve our mate-bond if you don't kneel and apologise. “Once more, I froze. He would break up with me because of Cindy. "Bastard!" Lexi gave a growl. "Altmann, you are too much!" I screamed at him. "I am the Luna, leader of the group, and I refuse to bow down to anyone!" And no automobile forced me to! It is stated in the pack's rules! "The pack's rules?" Altmann gave a snort. I raised my chin and straightened my back. No one is allowed to make Awn kneel or apologise for something she didn't do, according to the statement! I was shocked to hear Altmann chuckle! "Chelsy, do you think as the Luna of the pack, you can do anything freely and hot apologize for your wrongdoings?" He laughed at me. "It seems to me you have been abusing your power as the Luna of pack.” He got up and approached me to stand. He extended his hand and gave me a sharp pinch on my chin. "And to let you know, I was the one who made those rules, and as the maker of the rules, I am now telling you to kneel and apologise to Cindy," he growled. I caught a glimpse of Milla's joyful expression and Cindy's victorious smile from the corner of my eye. "You believe someone else's words rather than your mate?" I foolishly continued to hope that I could convince him to believe me rather than Cindy. "Chelsy, enough is enough! Despite your best efforts to refute it, the evidence is unmistakable. Everyone witnessed your actions!" He wrenched my chin free, and I stumbled backward from the impact. "You. Do you honestly think I'm not real? My heart began to grow icy. It was truly too late to try to defend myself. I became enamoured with Cindy after noticing that she was crying uncontrollably and appeared feeble once more. Hehe, Cindy was a fantastic actress! "Chelsy, I don't like to say things again. Altmann stated icily, "Kneel and apologise or I'll break our matebond and divorce you. "I will never, ever kneel!" I responded angrily, "or apologise for something I didn't do," and left the hospital without even looking at Altmann, Milla, or Cindy. "Chelsy!" Altmann yelled my name, but I disregarded him and continued to move in the direction of the pack's main residence, where Altmann and Luna resided as the Alpha and Luna, respectively. As soon as I entered the hallway, I heard a car's scream. When I turned around, Altmann was furious. His eyes furrowed as he said, "Chelsy, are you still unwilling to kneel and apologise?" "I already told you. I replied him icily, "I won't kneel or apologise for something I didn't do. "Guards!" he exclaimed before I could get any further words out. Suddenly, two guards materialized and grabbed my arms. Altmann yelled, "Make her kneel!"
