Chapter Forty-Two: Storm

733 Words
When Crisa pulled into the driveway I was relieved, but I was also mad so I stormed down the driveway and threw her over my shoulder. I saw Jocelyn double over in laughter and knew my suspicions about her knowing where Crisa was were correct. I ignored her pleading and was one track minded until I heard her say, “Tristan talk some sense into him there’s a meeting that we need to get to. It’s very important and I know that you guys will like it, but mr. caveman refuses to put me down.” My back was still to him so I didn’t get to see his reaction. However my mind was reeling when Taylor said, “he’s had us looking everywhere for you because you decided to run off without anyone knowing where you were or what you were doing. I for one could careless about whatever meeting you have planned.” Taylor’s disrespect shouldn’t have surprised me since I learned about it earlier this week, but the fact he so openly did it in front of me had my mind spinning. I was so surprised that I dropped Crisa and spun around. I didn’t have a chance to react or process the situation because Crisa launched herself at Taylor. Surprise worked in her favor because the punch she threw had him on the ground instantly. Before he could recover was was on top of him throwing punches and saying, “I told you that you had one more time to disrespect me and I was going to put you in a full body cast. You don’t like me I get that and I still went out of my way to include you in something that I knew you would like. You know what I’m not even going to waste my time breaking every bone in your body. I’m going to take Storm and Tristan to this meeting. You on the other hand are going to get the hell out of my house and don’t show your face until you learn some respect.” When she got up Tristan and I were still in shock, but broke out of it when Knox came around the corner and said, “what the hell happened in here?” Crisa calmly got up and brushed herself off before saying, “Knox can you make sure that he gets out of here and everyone knows that he isn’t allowed on the property until I say otherwise. I have a meeting with Storm and Tristan that we need to get to.” He looked all of us over before he said, “I got this and I’ll make sure the word is out amongst everyone. I was just coming to find you to let you know Dax called asking about you. I’ll let him know that you are on your way.” Crisa just walked out like nothing happened leaving Tristan and I to follow her like lost puppies. When we got outside she was climbing in to Blake’s SUV since it was the only thing not blocked in. We quietly got into and waited to find out what was going on. As we pulled out I noticed that the two guys that were next to her when she got home pulled out behind us. I figured they must be part of the meeting and didn’t dare to ask any questions after what had just happened. When we got to the club and she parked my curiosity went up, but still we both stayed quiet and waited for her. She didn’t move to open the door and just sat there trying to collect herself before she turned to us to say, “no matter how you feel or what happens in this meeting you will not yell or fight. Anyone that wants to argue can get out of the meeting and anyone that tries to fight will not be allowed at my house for an undetermined amount of time. It’s a lot to ask and it’s going to be a lot to take in, but I need everyone to be calm so nobody gets hurt physically or emotionally.” I was puzzled by her words, but we both nodded in agreement and she jumped out of the car leading us to the meeting. Nothing could have prepared me for the meeting that she had setup.
