The date

Bella's POV -

Once I got home it was 4:00pm which is early for me to be home but it is nice to have sometime before James will be here. Quickly I jump in the shower and shave (what it's been awhile I can be optimistic). I really spent my time in the shower since when I got out it was 4:45pm, after showers I am always dying of a heat stroke so I lay down and close my eyes while I wait to cool off. 'I have a bad feeling about tonight' Novah says through out mind link. 'Oddly enough I feel the same way, I feel like something bad is going to happen' I reply. Weird that we agree on something like that, I feel like lately we haven't been getting along as well. 'same' she replies, 'stop listening to my thoughts!' I reply with frustration 'hey your thoughts are my thoughts too smalls' I just roll my eyes in return. No matter the feeling it is time to get ready, maybe it is just my nerves about my date tonight. It has been years since my last actual date.

Thanks to the constant exercise routines I have a good body, I stand at 5' 4'' with a toned stomach and legs. My backside is a bit to large for my liking but thanks to my fathers side of the family we have hips for days and I wear a 32C bra. I throw on a matching lace bra and thong before trying to figure out what to wear, since I work in a clinic I am in skirts and dress clothes most of the time. So to say I am lacking in going out clothes would be an understatement, Katie always tries to bring me with her to the city for shopping but I always decline I suppose I will have to tag along sometime soon. Shuffling through clothes the weather is suppose to be 67 degrees F so I decide on a long sleeve black skin tight dress that goes to mid thigh (ok you caught me it is my funeral dress... BUT it is the only option ok!) I decide to leave my hair in loose curls falling to my mid back, I decide on a dark green smoky eye to make the blue in my eyes pop and light foundation. I put on my favorite Versace perfume and make sure to put on deodorant, my luck I will sweat through all of this since my nerves are on high alert tonight.

*Ding* I hear my doorbell "one second just putting shoes on" I yell. Peaking at the clock it is 6:55pm early how cute. I strap on my dark purple booties with a 2 inch black heel, I grab my black clutch and head to the door. I open the door to a gorgeous looking James, he is holding a bouquet of white roses and has a smile that is reaching his eyes. He looks drool worthy! His blonde hair is messy and reaching his forehead, he has on black slacks and a white button up with the top 2 undone and a black sports coat that is hugging his muscles like a glove. As he walks in I smell his cologne and instant feel moisture between my legs, damn has it been a long time.

"Stop fantasizing over me Bella" He says smirking at me while handing me the flowers. "Urgghhh thanks for the flowers and lets not start the night with your ego being this big already". I chuckle as I struggle to find a vase in my kitchen. Once I have the flowers in the water, I turn around and see him eyeing me up. Glad it isn't just me looking to get some. "See anything you like?" I ask asked, smiling at him. "Oh, everything I am seeing I like, are you ready to go?" he asks. "You bet I just need to grab my phone and a jacket I will meet you outside." I reply. As I run upstairs I almost trip since I am so excited and nervous 'Cool it' I hear Novah in my head. I just laugh cause she knows I am on the verge of losing it over this date, but I can't because he would probably run the opposite way if he knew how excited I was. Walking outside, I see him leaning up against his Lincoln MKZ, I was going to get a car similar to it but then he started working with me and that would have been weird. Walking around to the passenger side, he opens the door for me and I slide in, crossing my legs.

"What a gentleman" I smirk stating to him, "You are about to learn so much more about me Bella" her replies. I love how my name sounds out of his mouth. The conversation is easy as we head to Lake Placid's upscale restaurant "The View". Obviously the name is because it sits on Mirror Lake with the top floor revolving to give everyone a view of the lake. As we get to town, my phone starts to ping non stop, "Still no Wi-Fi I see", James says, smiling at me. "Is it that obvious, I better check it since my family is driving in" I reply. Looking at my phone, I have 3 text messages and a voicemail from my brother, 1 message from Alpha Chris, and 2 from Katie. I decide to read them quickly to make sure non are urgent.

Eli: HEY! We are just leaving. We should be there around midnight!

Eli: We going out after we get there?

Eli: Bella! Fix your damn Wi-Fi, also Alpha is being a girl and needs to stop and eat big bad wolf is hungry. HA

Alpha Montgomery: Don't listen to your brother. He is being dramatic, we will be stopping about halfway for a bite.

Katie: U better not b wearing a burlap sack.

Katie: I hope u get the D - u Deserve it!

I chuckle out loud and I see James peaking at me, "Sorry my brother is having a fit about the Wi-Fi and Katie knows I don't have a lot of going out clothes." He just shakes his head as I type out my responses.

To Katie: I sure need to go with you shopping one of these times, and I have hopes even shaved (everything) (;

To Eli: I am not fixing my Wi-Fi. Get over it, I will be in town for awhile. Please call if you need anything and you should eat to we all know how you get when you are hungry...Hope mom packed snacks for you baby wolf.

To Alpha Chris: Sounds good reach out if you all need something.

I have always kept things professional with Chris since he became Alpha, but Eli doesn't care, he will always give him a hard time. Ever since the breakup, we haven't been the goofy couple anymore and, especially since he is engaged, I have stopped messaging him as often. Sometimes I wonder what it would have been like if I still lived with the pack, but then I remember the training, the classes, and the ring fighting not gonna happen. I feel a warmth on my knee which breaks out of my head and I look down and see James has set his hand on my bare knee. The warmth instantly helps calm me down.

Once we get to the restaurant, he comes around and opens my door and gives me his hand to help me out. Blushing, I take his hand and he doesn't let go as we walk in, "reservation for 2 - James Mcnash" He says to the waitress who is eyeing him up and down. "Hi James, nice to see you!" She smiles. That was weird. It is almost like they know each other, but I am interrupted by his hand going to my lower back leading me to the elevator. The restaurant is inside a hotel, so we climb 11 floors in a uncomfortable silence, but all I can feel are the circles James is rubbing on my back. Once the elevator opens, she leads us to a table facing the lake. We aren't on the top floor but we are seated very privately with the view of the lake which is much more intimate. It is a booth seat so I sit down and try to scoot over without my dress coming to far up, I hear a low chuckle from James as he is watching me. I just roll my eyes. He takes a seat next to me on my left side and puts his arm around me.

"What can I get you to drink?" she asks as her eyes are glued to James, "I will take a glass of Pinot Noir" he responds, looking at me "I will have the same please", I state, wondering if she even heard me as she is still staring at James. As she walks away, James turns to me and we start talking about our lives. "Now tell me something no one knows about the famous Bella?" He asks while leaning to me. "Hmm, I moved away from my family when I was 18 for school and have never been back." I state and he seems to have a surprised look. "But why? Don't you miss them? Not even for holidays?" he inquires. "Nope, I do miss them terribly, but they will come and see me on holidays. Ever since the moment I stepped out of that town, I never wanted to go back. I have built everything I have, and they don't understand that," I state. I can hear a low hmmm. First came our wine along with some water, then the food came. I got a salad with steak and James ordered a steak (to rare for my liking) and green beans. Once we are done eating, I have had 2 glasses of wine. I want to ask about the waitress and how often he has brought women here, but that is none of my business for a first date.

Ever since in the car, James has had a form of contact with me either holding hands, leading me, or putting his arm around me. "Want to head out?" He whispers into my ear, sending shivers down my spine. . Of course, he doesn't let me pay for anything. Once we get outside, I begin to walk around the car but he grabs my waist and pulls me into a kiss. At first I am shocked, but then I begin to respond to him. As we are kissing, his hand slides down the middle of my back and grabbing my behind, I let out a small gasp and he takes that as an invitation to dart his tongue into my mouth, but I accept it eagerly. We are both fighting for dominance. I grab his bottom lip with my teeth and gently pull, making him release a small growl. He grabs both my cheeks and slowly kneads them. But then, breaking into reality, I remember where we are and our patients could see us getting intimate. "James, we can't continue out here", I sigh into his mouth. He has floor to ceiling windows along one side, concrete floors and black industrial beams cover the ceiling. All the walls are a very light grey. The dresser, bed, and nightstands are black along with his sheets.(very much a bachelor pad)

That's all I could see before his lips start attacking mine again. I can feel the wetness between my legs getting worse. frustrated, I slowly unbutton his shirt while still kissing him. "Baby, what's going on?" James said with worry in his eyes. I begin running to my clothes and put on my underwear, "I have to go now my friend has been shot and I am meeting them at the clinic." I state rushing around trying to find everything. " Well let me come with you Bella, I can drive and here is a pair of sweatpants and a shirt" He says while giving me more comfortable clothes. "No I need to go alone I am sorry James but I can't bring you with, can I barrow your car for the night I promise to bring it back when everything is fine" I plead. "Ok but I really wish you would let me come with you." He asks again. I give him a small smile once I am dressed in his clothes and zipping up my boots. "I know you do but trust me I can't have you there, I will call you when I know everything is ok?" I ask giving him a small kiss. He now has boxers on that are hanging low. "Be safe I will be waiting for your call" He says as I walk out the door.
