Mate?

Chris's POV - 

    "Stop being a slow poke Chris, we already stopped to eat at least you can pick it up" Eli yells at me while we are walking out the diner with his mom. She really was a mom to me through high school I dated Bella, who is Eli's sister. Him and I are bestfriends and he is my Beta, his parents took care of me when mine were busy with pack business. I just roll my eyes at him since he is the only one who gets away talking to me like that. It is a breath of fresh air since everyone else treats me like an Alpha, sometimes I wish I could go back to high school and just hold on to those years before my life turned upside down. 

    While zoning out about the past "Hey come on" Eli yells a final time. I pick up the pace *BOOM* pain seeps into my abdomen I look down and see my hand is covered in blood, it is burning, my whole body is burning. It must be silver *BOOM* again my left arm goes limp from the pain, I can feel my eyes going blurry when I hear Eli shift and go after the shooter, while I am looking at Shelly's eyes she tries to soothe me "We are here for you" "You don't close those eyes now, do you hear me" She asks, I just look up at her "Good now you just need to hold on while we get you to Bella" she says with tears in her eyes. That was the moment I knew it wasn't good she is the strongest women I know, stronger than my mom, definitely stronger than Whitney, the only woman I know that is stronger than her is Bella. I feel myself slipping unconscious. "I got them to run but we need to get him to the clinic now Ma, give me your phone I need to call  Bella and have her meet us at the clinic." he says with jagged breaths. "Use your phone Eli" she replies "Are you kidding me we all know she wont answer me!" He is basically shouting I chuckle to myself at that. It's so true all he does is nag her, she never answers. I cough/laugh at the same time "Oh really that is funny now? how's the burning?" He asks as I wince in pain. 

    "ARE YOU f*****g KIDDING ME WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG TO ANSWER" I barely hear Eli yelling through the phone. "ALPHA HAS BEEN SHOT TWICE WITH SILVER BULLETS WE ARE 10 MINUTES FROM THE CLINIC" click he shut the phone. 10 minutes that's it we need to stay awake for 10 minutes. I can feel the truck moving I close my eyes and that was it. 

    I can see a light I walk to before realizing I am in the high school we all went to together, in front of me I can see Bella smiling at me. She is so beautiful I thought to myself her shoulder length blonde hair and those big blue eyes that captured me since middle school, I would never tell her that I have liked her since she was 13. She runs up to me with the same goofy smile she has every time she sees me, all I do is hold out my arms and she jumps up locking her legs around my waste in a hug the same thing we did daily 11th and 12th grade. Life is so easy with her. 

    I blink and I am in the bed of my truck I have candles and blankets with her head on my arm we are looking at the stars, she looks at me and begins to kiss me. I remember this, this was our first time we both lost our virginities in the bed of my red pick up truck. I can't believe it has been 9 years I can't help but wonder how many people she has been with since this night. It has only been her for me the sparks every time, her smile while walking to the bathroom naked, the way her mouth looked around my d**k, I can't imagine it that with anyone else. I am engaged to be married, we have done other things but I always have an excuse like waiting till we are married, at first it was because I was taking over as Alpha and truly I had no time but as time went on I felt repulsed by her so I would rather finish myself. I try hard not to close my eyes again because this is my favorite memory. 

    Failing I open my eyes it is Bella's 18th birthday, the day she left me. This was the hardest day of my life I woke up early to head to her house to see if we are mate's and to give her a necklace with my name on it when I got there she was already gone. Her flight left at 7:00am so she was there at 5:30am instantly I ran to her room and broke down. How could she leave without saying bye, or without finding out if we are mates, everything I did for her. She was my life for the last 2 years and now she is gone. Everyone let me cry in her room since they all hoped we were Mates as well. My wolf Matt was whimpering she loved both of us. I called her everyday for a month we talked but as friends and then that was it nothing for 7 years. 

    I could feel myself breaking all over again, I shut my eyes to go anywhere else. I was going to see her after all this time, she allowed Eli to bring me! BUT NO I GOT SHOT! I can't talk to Matt because of the silver, I have carried the necklace with me every time leaving the territory in hopes I would run into her I was finally going to give it to her. Even if we are not Mates, I want her as my Luna, the only problem is getting her to come back to the pack. She was never meant to live in the territory she needed to fly, but I will leave the Alpha position to be with her if she isn't ready to come back. I felt my body laying down, I can feel myself internally sobbing as I smell sunflowers which are her favorite, sick game my head is playing with me. As if the smell got closer it was masked by a cheap man cologne so I couldn't smell it very well. Barely a whisper I hear "Mate" Out of no where I can feel Matt getting pissed. 

    'are you awake' I ask him. Next thing I know he is in complete control and I am in the back seat looking out the windshield he is trying to get out but Eli is holding him down. "Dude stop Bella is coming she needs to get the bullets out" Eli yells. As the most amazing looking woman walks in with her scrubs on, her body is toned, and she looks exhausted but then it hit me sunflowers and rose water the most heavenly smell that we have ever encountered. She looks into my eyes as she injects me with something 'mate that's our mate' Matt is howling. Before everything goes black. No memories, no noise, nothing.

    f**k there it is again I can smell the sunflowers and rose water, what a pure smell. Stirring I feel Matt trying to push out. He is so out of his mind right now, howling and yelling mate in my head. I am so confused was that her nurse? Where is Bella? Are there other werewolves here? The smell is so close, Matt breaks out and is fighting against Eli again, which is comical considering if we weren't doped up on pain medications he would be dead by now. Then the door opens and my head snaps to the woman standing there "Mate" I say while looking into her eyes. Her entire face goes pale and she turns around running out of the room. What the f**k!? Does she not feel it?! A growl escapes my lips, and Eli asks "Mates who?" "Wait who is your mate?!?!" I just point at the door feeling broken and confused. " THAT WAS BELLA MAN!!!" He is now shouting "Bella get your ass in here!" " If I have to come get you that's it". Finally the scent is getting stronger and the door opens her hair is down now. 

    I stare ay my future, the one the moon goddess made for me, my mate. She is absolutely stunning, I can't peel my eyes away as I memorize all her features. She is 5'4'' I could crush her with my 6' 4'',  she exercises I can tell by her toned body she has to have little body fat beside her round a** and large breasts, those big blue eyes. But something is different in her eyes they hold an emotion I can't recognize, is it loneliness, sadness, anger? Her platinum hair is to the middle of her back and curled to perfection. She is my mate, she is my Bella. "Hi Alpha Montenegro" the sweetest voice rings in my ears the voice I have longed for, 8 years of imagining this moment and it is here.
