Evander POV Alena was holding my hand and I was glad she was only human, because I was sure she would be breaking it with her death grip. As she tried to let go I held her hand tighter even when she was finally on her feet on the sidewalk. The confidence in her eyes didn’t match her trembling state and I was not ready to let her go. I needed her close to me. Well as close as she wanted me.
