Episode 1
The Ice King
The city of New York never slept.
Luxury cars sped through the brightly lit streets while towering skyscrapers kissed the midnight sky. At the very center of the business district stood the magnificent headquarters of K.L. Car Company, one of the world's most successful automobile empires.
Inside the top floor...
Silence.
The air was so cold that even seasoned executives held their breath.
A tall man in a tailored black suit stood before the floor-to-ceiling windows, his hands tucked into his pockets. His sharp jawline, icy blue eyes, and unreadable expression earned him one title throughout the business world—
The Ice King.
Kyle Larson.
At just twenty-nine years old, he had built an empire feared by competitors and admired by investors. His meetings lasted minutes because he tolerated neither excuses nor incompetence.
"Sir..."
His loyal bodyguard, Verona Desmond, entered quietly.
"The board members have been waiting for thirty minutes."
Kyle didn't move.
"They'll wait another five."
Verona sighed.
She had raised Kyle since he was a broken little boy after tragedy stole his parents. To the world she was merely his bodyguard.
To Kyle...
She was family.
"You've skipped breakfast again."
"I'm not hungry."
"You said the same thing yesterday."
"I said I'm fine."
Verona smiled sadly.
"You always say that."
Kyle finally turned around.
His face remained emotionless, but hidden beneath those cold eyes was a pain he never allowed anyone to see.
A pain buried deep within childhood memories...
A lonely boy.
Rain pouring endlessly.
A tiny bracelet wrapped around his trembling wrist by a little girl with the brightest smile.
"Don't cry anymore."
"Whenever you're scared... look at this bracelet."
"You'll be okay."
The memory disappeared as quickly as it came.
Kyle clenched his fist.
He had searched for that girl for years.
But she had vanished without a trace.
"Sir?"
Verona's voice pulled him back.
"It's time."
Kyle nodded.
"Let's go."
---
Across the city...
The luxurious headquarters of JJ Car Company buzzed with excitement.
Employees hurried in every direction as cameras flashed outside the building.
The youngest female billionaire in the country had just arrived.
A white Rolls-Royce stopped elegantly at the entrance.
The driver opened the door.
A pair of silver heels touched the ground.
Then she stepped out.
Beautiful.
Confident.
Elegant.
Powerful.
Jade Jordan.
The woman every magazine called the Queen of Business.
She adjusted her sunglasses before walking inside as reporters shouted her name.
"Miss Jordan!"
"Miss Jordan, is it true you're buying another international company?"
"Miss Jordan, are you dating anyone?"
Without sparing them a glance, Jade replied,
"No comment."
Her best friend and personal assistant, Diana Ross, hurried after her.
"You scared them again."
"They asked foolish questions."
"You could at least smile."
"I wasn't born to entertain cameras."
Diana laughed.
"That's exactly why they call you arrogant."
"I call it confidence."
The elevator doors opened.
As Jade walked toward her office, her eyes landed on a framed picture.
A woman smiling warmly from a hospital bed.
Jenny Jordan.
Her mother.
Still lying in a coma after years.
Jade gently touched the frame.
"I'll wake you up, Mom."
"I promise."
A knock interrupted her.
"Miss Jordan."
"Come in."
One of the managers rushed inside.
"We've received an invitation to the International Automobile Summit tomorrow."
"So?"
"Both JJ Car Company and K.L. Car Company will be attending."
The room became silent.
Jade slowly raised her head.
"Kyle Larson..."
She scoffed.
"I've heard enough about that arrogant CEO."
Meanwhile...
In another part of the city...
Kyle signed the same invitation.
"The International Automobile Summit."
Verona smiled knowingly.
"It seems you'll finally meet the famous Jade Jordan."
Kyle closed the file.
"I have no interest in spoiled billionaires."
At that exact moment...
Neither of them knew...
Fate had already begun rewriting their story.
A story connected by a forgotten bracelet...
...and a promise made many years ago.
