My father and Lycus stared at me when I barged into the king’s office.
“Where is David.” I said, breathless from the rushing I had undertook to reach them.
“Gone.” My father said, with a confused look on his face. “Why?”
“He is the one who’s been poisoning you. Jeffrey provided him with the silver mixture and he slipped it into your drinks.”
“No...It couldn’t be…He wouldn’t…” My father started, before I cut him off.
“Do you still doubt my abilities?” I asked with a sneer. “I saw it for myself, in Jeffrey’s memories. He had been deceiving you this entire time.”
“But he is my best guard, he did whatever I told him…”
“And he gained your trust that way.” I answered. “Where is he?”
