Blurb

Deep within Blackwood Mountain, there is a legend of a teenager who does not run with humans, but instead leads the most bloodthirsty pack of predators in the forest. Finn Miller is not merely the orphaned grandson of a war hero; he is a natural anomaly, born with pure predatory instinct. When elite mercenaries are sent to wipe out the Miller bloodline, they make one fatal mistake: they are not hunting prey—they are stepping into the territory of a human “alpha.”

The death of his grandfather at the hands of a mysterious sniper ignites a dark transformation within Finn. From the untamed wilderness to the modern battlefield, Finn must carry the savagery of the wolf into the rigid discipline of Tier-1 special forces. In a world where military technology reigns supreme, Finn proves that animal senses and killing instincts honed in the wild are the deadliest weapons of all. This is not just a story of survival; it is a tale of vengeance that blurs the line between humanity and brutality.

Chapter 1: The Wolf-Fighting Boy
On the slopes of Blackwood Mountain in the Northwest Military Region, two soldiers in camouflage uniforms were walking quickly through the jungle. Their pace was so fast that it was more like they were running than walking. "Boss, have we gone the wrong way? How could there be a family living deep in these mountains?" Special Forces soldier Luke shouted as he ran. "Whether they exist or not, we must find the child of the fallen hero Arthur Miller. Right now, the mercenary assassins should be targeting Arthur's family. We can't let the martyr's family suffer any more harm," Instructor "Bull" Hudson shouted as he ran. Soon, Bull and Luke entered the depths of the mountains. They hadn't run for long when a terrifying sound, the howling of wolves, came from afar. "Oh no, that's the sound of wolves!" Bull shouted, then quickly raised his submachine gun and looked into the jungle. Sure enough, several large wolves appeared ahead and charged forward quickly. Bull and Luke almost simultaneously raised their guns, ready to fire. Bull and Luke were special forces soldiers of the Northwest Military Region Special Forces Brigade, privates first class, who were here specifically to carry out a mission. They hadn't expected to encounter wolves. Killing two wolves was not a difficult task for these two. Just then, more and more wolves appeared all around. Bull shouted, "It's a pack of wolves! Get up in the trees!" Bull quickly climbed a large tree, with Luke following closely behind. Just as Bull and Luke climbed up the big tree, a wolf pounced on them. Luckily, Bull and Luke reacted quickly, otherwise they would have been knocked down. Once they were knocked down and surrounded by the wolf pack, it would have been difficult to escape. Wild wolves are like ghosts in the jungle, bloodthirsty ghosts; even the tigers and leopards in the jungle are terrified of them. Sure enough, after the wolf pounced, more than a dozen wolves followed, and then even more, quickly surrounding the area. There were at least a hundred wolves, their blue eyes gleaming menacingly in broad daylight as they stared at Bull and Luke. Even though the two were special forces soldiers, they were still afraid when faced with a pack of wolves. "Boss, what do we do? We're surrounded by wolves, it'll be hard to get away, let alone rescue Arthur's family," Luke said anxiously. "If all else fails, we'll use guns. We have guns, so we're not afraid," Bull said seriously, pointing his submachine gun at the pack of wolves in front of him, ready to fire at any moment. Just then, several more wolf howls rang out, but these howls were distinctly different, filled with majesty and domineering power. Upon hearing the sound, the wolf pack seemed to receive an order, and as the alpha wolf turned and ran, the other wolves quickly followed suit and fled into the jungle. All of this stunned Bull and Luke. When they saw a boy of about sixteen or seventeen, they were even more astonished; it was clear that the wolf howl they had just heard came from this boy. The boy ran over quickly, at a speed comparable to that of a wolf. He didn't approach Bull and Luke, but shouted loudly from a distance of several meters, "Grandpa said that wolves can't hurt people. Goodbye, I still have to go chase away the wolves." Bull and Luke were completely stunned. This boy could actually chase away a pack of wolves. There are all sorts of wonders in the world. Strange things were happening right in front of them. Bull suddenly realized that the boy looked familiar. Bull thought of the martyr Arthur Miller. Could this be Arthur's orphan, Finn Miller? Before Bull could speak, Finn had already vanished. Bull couldn't help but admire Finn's speed; it was like a wolf's speed. Bull involuntarily remarked, "He's truly born to be a special forces soldier." However, Bull knew he needed to find Finn's family quickly before the mercenaries caught up with them. Bull and Luke quickly climbed down the tree and ran deeper into the jungle. Young Finn, with an innocent and naive demeanor, ran quickly behind the wolf pack, constantly imitating the wolf's howl as he ran. Soon, Finn caught up with the alpha wolf, and they ran side by side. No one could have imagined that a sixteen or seventeen-year-old boy could blend in with a pack of wolves and run alongside them, and yet the wolves didn't harm him at all. This was truly a wonder of the world. Finn leaped up a big tree and howled a few times. The alpha wolf stopped, and the rest of the pack rushed over quickly. The alpha wolf appeared larger and more imposing than the other wolves, with large, fierce blue eyes. Yet, this fierce alpha wolf, who was as docile as a cat in front of Finn, was as obedient as a cat. Finn patted the bloodthirsty alpha wolf and said happily, "Let's go back to find Grandpa." After saying that, Finn launched himself up from the tree, flipped a few times, landed on the ground, and ran off quickly. His movements were clean and efficient, and his speed was so fast that even the alpha wolf could only keep up with him. A dozen minutes later, Finn returned to his home halfway up the mountain. He smelled a stranger's scent, and almost simultaneously, both he and the wolf displayed the usual wolfish wariness. Their faces contorted in a ferocious grimace, utterly terrifying. This was Finn's keen intuition, honed through years of training in the jungle. "I knew this kid was back. He has a peculiar wolfish smell on him," a tall, thin old man said with a laugh as he walked out, followed by two young men in camouflage uniforms. Finn noticed that the wolfish ferocity on the two men's faces had vanished. Finn had seen these two men before, but he didn't know what they were doing here. He figured they probably didn't have any malicious intent. Finn had an arrogant look on his face, a wolfish nature that he had developed from living with wolves in the jungle for a long time. Finn pulled the alpha wolf to sit on the wooden stool and threw a piece of raw meat to the alpha wolf. “Finn, that’s so rude. They are your father’s comrades-in-arms. Come over and call them uncles,” Grandpa Silas Miller said sternly. Finn had lived with his grandfather since he was a child, and they depended on each other for survival. Finn was very obedient to his grandfather. He stood up and walked forward. His grandfather, Silas Miller, narrowed his eyes and saw a dark gun muzzle in the jungle not far away. Silas shouted, "Get out of the way!" and pushed Finn away. Then came a gunshot, and Silas fell to the ground, blood splattering from his chest. Finn was completely stunned. Although he had been hunting in the jungle for many years and was used to bloodshed, he was still utterly shocked when he saw his grandfather, the grandfather who had been with him for more than ten years, lying in a pool of blood. Standing to the side, Bull shouted, "Luke, protect Finn, he's a sniper!" As he spoke, Bull picked up his submachine gun and quickly fired a burst at the spot where the gunshot had just rung out. Then, without stopping, Bull rushed out and into the jungle. Luke swiftly drew his pistol and stood in front of Finn, determined to protect the martyr's children with his own body. He couldn't let his comrade's only son suffer any more harm. Finn held his grandfather, who lay in a pool of blood, his eyes filled with tears. After hearing Bull's words, Finn wiped away his tears, slowly put his grandfather down, and stood up abruptly. The muscles on his face twisted and contorted, clearly indicating that he was in extreme pain. Finn pushed aside Luke, who was blocking his way, pounded his chest with both hands, howled like a wolf, and then pointed forward. The alpha wolf charged out quickly. Finn suddenly darted out, as fast and fierce as a wolf, leaving a whistling sound. Finn wanted to avenge his grandfather, and his enemy was in the jungle. With the alpha wolf in front and Finn behind, more and more wolves followed Finn as he howled.
