The hotel restaurant was upscale for a hotel restaurant, Alainah knew the place would be nice but she didn't think it would be that nice; Richard was waiting for her at a table near the back, she made sure to wear a little red dress, she wanted to impress him but not do too much on the first date. Her hair was pinned up in a neat bun and she wore light makeup, she wanted to be subtle about what she was trying to do, it was key that she made everything look natural so she didn't give away her intentions about the night, she was on a recon mission this time. Sitting down across from him she let the conversation flow easily and only touched him when appropriate, she let her leg brush up against his once but quickly pulled it back pretending it was an accident, the night ended with Richard walking Alainah back to her room.

"Thank you for the lovely evening, I had a great time", she leaned in to give him a long hug and a kiss on the cheek.

"No, thank you for being such lovely company tonight, if you need anything just let me know", he wrote down his number and handed it to Alainah.

Alainah headed inside her hotel room feeling good about the night, she headed to check her phone and saw a missed call from Eve, she knew it was late over there and didn't want to wake her friend so she decided to wait until the morning to call her back and see what was going on, she guessed that Roddrick must have come by looking for her. Peeling off the dress she headed for the shower and let the hot water clear away any sad feelings that were starting to creep back in now that she was alone again; having this new mission gave her something to focus on instead of her cheating ex. Alainah crawled into bed and let her mind take her to places that involved a certain hotel owner who she was currently trying to seduce, she thought about all the things he could do to her with his big strong hands.

Getting up the next day she remembered the call from Eve and figured she could talk to her while she had breakfast in her room; calling room service she ordered pancakes and bacon with eggs and juice, once she had everything set up she called Eve knowing she would be at home since it was her day off from work.

"Hey girl, how are things over there?"

"You know who showed up yesterday looking for you, I guess he thought you were over here"

"What did you tell him?", Alainah wasn't worried about her friend spilling the beans.

"I told him you weren't here, and when he asked where you were I told him I didn't know"

"Sorry about that, I will tell you everything when I get back"

"You better, I need to know if you got any while you were out there"

"You know I am not the one-night stand type"

"I know which is why this is perfect, you never have to see the guy again once you come home"

"True but I still don't think I can do it"

"You are so boring sometimes"

They talked for another thirty minutes before Eve had to go because Jake had come home and she was in the mood and so was he, Alainah made a gagging sound before she said goodbye to her friend and hung up, now she had the rest of the day to find something to do. She knew her mother would be waiting for her to call and explain what was really going on, it was going to be hard to talk to her mother about why she left without telling her the truth; her mother loved both her daughters equally and she knew finding out one of them hurt the other would devastate her. Instead of telling her what happened she would say to her a version of the truth, she would explain that Roddrick wasn't who she thought he was and that she just needed some time to figure out what she wanted to do moving forward.

"Hey, Ma, I know I haven't called in a few days, sorry about that"

"Where are you Alainah? Everyone is worried sick about you"

"I just needed some time to figure things out Ma, some things have come to my attention that I can't overlook"

"What things? You just got engaged, why would you do this now?"

"Just know I am safe and will be home soon"

"Why can't you tell me where you are?"

"I have to go now, but I will call you tomorrow Ma"

Alainah hung up the phone before her mother could say another word, it hurt to have to be that way with her mother but she knew she would tell Amyah and Amyah would tell Roddrick who would be on the first flight down there and she didn't need that right now, not when she was just getting started with her plan. She was still in her pjs when there was a knock on her door, she didn't even bother to grab a robe she just opened the door in her night dress; Richard was standing there, and she could tell when he tried to subtlely adjust his pants after she invited him in.

"Hey, what brings you by"

"Just wanted to check on you see how you were doing", he was trying not to look directly at her"

"That's sweet of you", she sat in the chair across from him with her legs slightly open.

"Yeah, I figured since we didn't get to finish the tour yesterday we could finish it today and maybe have some lunch"

"That sounds great, maybe we can hang at the beach for a while, I never got to swim in the ocean"

"Sure whatever you want, your the guest"

Alainah began jumping up and down in excitement making her breast bounce a little, she knew Richard would be unable to not watch which is what she wanted; when she was done getting dressed she was ready to go, she wore a light blue wrap with matching bikini, making sure to have just enough cleavage out. The tour started great and she got to see a lot of what made the island special, they stopped at so many stores around to island and she bought so much stuff to take back that she didn't know how she was going to fit it all in her suitcase. They stopped at this little cafe for lunch, the woman who owned the place seemed happy to see Richard, she gave him the biggest hug and ushered them to a seat near the back; the woman seemed to know what he was going to order before he said anything. She then turned her attention to Alianah with a smile asking her what she would like, the woman felt like family even though she had only just met the woman that day, it was weird to meet someone and instantly feel at ease with them.

"Richard, why have you not brought this one around yet, I like her more than I liked the other one", the woman had an island accent.

"The other one?", Alainah was amused.

"She Just got here and she is my..."

"I used to be engaged to his brother, but we recently broke up"

"I am sorry to hear that", the woman sounded sincere.

"It's alright, we just realized we weren't right for each other, I truly believe we will get what we deserve in the end", she patted the woman's hand.

"You are so wise for someone who just went through something upsetting", the woman told her before heading off to get their food for them.

"She is nice, I like her, so who is the other woman she was mentioning?"

"Just an ex who used to come here"

"This ex have a name?"

"Can we not talk about that", Richard said with a sour look.

The rest of the lunch was filled with Alainah talking about her job and how she really enjoyed the work; it was easy to talk to him about anything, when she would talk about her work with Roddrick he would get this look in his eyes that said he wasn't really listening, she hated that. Alainah could feel herself starting to like Richard and that was not part of the plan, she just wanted to get him in bed so she could show Roddrick how it felt; falling for her ex's brother was something she could not let happen, she might have to rethink a few things in her plan before she continued.
