Talia crept down the hallway as fast as her feet would carry her and still be silent. She wanted to rush to Tanner and get him out of the hell that she knew was waiting for him in the bowels of the building. She was scarred enough for the both of them without Laurent adding more scars to the pile of destruction he tended to leave in his wake. Talia thought about the last time that she had seen that monster, it had been during one of the recon missions that Tanner had set up once they had found the rock this slug had been hiding under. The moment grabbed her causing her steps to falter and her hand to grasp the railing of the stairwell to steady herself before she tumbled to the bottom alerting Laurent that not only was she alive but also incapacitated by the fall.
