One Beginnings
Drage was running through the woods in a hurry, he could hear the angry screams of the villager's chasing him from behind with torches and pitchforks and any makeshift weapons they could find.. He had never seen anyone who recognized the tattoo that had been branded on his arm so fast. Immediately he entered the village a man had noticed it and quickly alerted all the other villagers and then they started hunting him like a hungry pack of wolves on a hunt. It was only through luck that he managed to escape from the village in the first place, but soon they were hot on his trail. Drage heard rustling in the trees above, he was about to duck when a huge shadow swooped down and grabbed him, Drage struggled to escape from the claws that held him but he found that he couldn't. Drage looked up in order to see what had captured him; it was a dragon with silver scales and golden eyes with wings over fifty meters wide. Drage smiled upon seeing the dragon, it wasn't just a normal dragon, it was his own dragon named Shriller. Shriller set Drage down at the entrance of a cave, Drage thanked her for saving him while she folded her wings and walked into the cave, she breathed her unique silver colored flames on a pile of twigs lying idly on the floor. Drage sat near the fire to receive warmth He was happy that shriller had come for him. It had been six years since he and shriller first met, it was on the eve of his birthday, it was also the eve of the day his mother died. Drage shoved the bittersweet memory out of his mind and set to work finding more twigs to feul the flames. When he was done gathering them and setting them to the fire he fell asleep and soon fell into dreams, he dreamed about the time before shriller, before his birthday, before that night when all was right with the world. Shriller went out of the cave silently, and when she was sure Drage wasn't awake, she spread her wings and took to the skies she was getting hungrier as her time for growth was drawing near. Shriller's body shone in the moonlight, she was a silver scaled dragon with enormous wings and a little body that seemed to pale in comparison with other dragons. But it was this body size that made her to be one of the fastest dragons around. Shriller spotted a deer grazing in the forest, and like the predator she was, she dived like a hawk and used her slender tail to hit its neck breaking its spine instantly and killing it. She ate the deer whole right there and sped off to the outskirts of the forest to pick up a boar for Drage back in the cave. Drage woke up with a start, he had been dreaming about the day his mother died. The firebreathers had come with steely resolve the new spawns village to the ground. Their dragons burnt everything in sight and their riders commanded the flames to burn whatever was left. Drage's mother was caught during the onslaught, and the few survivors who were left noticed the tattoo he had been branded with by Shriller and sent him packing from what was left of the village, he had been on the run ever since. Drage roused himself from the depressing thoughts and found the boar Shriller got for him last night. He smiled and set to work making breakfast over the roaring silver flames. They were coming!!!!!! Shriller could sense them, their violence, rage and distortion, they wanted the prey that had eluded them for months. Shriller nudged Drage and he seemed to understand, she watched as he packed up everything and got on her back, she then turned and set fire to the whole cave. Her silver flames burned through and caused the whole cave to collapse, she flew out and sped out like a missile towards the hills opposite the forest. Fenn looked at the collapsed cave with something akin to admiration flickering in his eyes, the prey were good at concealing their tracks but too bad he was one of the best hunters not the idols that were tracking them down before the prey had been able to trick them but too bad they weren't good enough to trick him. He guessed they were likely headed towards the hills, he smirked and boarded his dragon and ordered it to give chase and within seconds he was speeding through the skies. Burt tore through the skies faster than he had ever done before. The prey and his dragon who was still a new born were frighteningly quick, they were already close to having the same speed as him an already mature dragon. He knew if they lost them now it would be harder than ever if they wanted to catch up with them. Within minutes Burt with his fiery red body was above the clouds watching the prey from above,, the prey was flying low using the sparse trees as cover this had made their speed reduced and had given Burt a chance to catch up. Burt awaited his master's command and soon after sent down a barrage of piping hot red fire balls at the prey sending them crashing down to the forest floor. Fenn was satisfied with Burt's ability to be able to catch up with the prey known for its speed and take them down with a single wave of attacks, all that was left was to descend and apprehend them with a mental nudge Fenn sent Burt landing towards for the forest below. Drage was perplexed, he didn't understand why he and Shriller didn't sense the attack coming or why she couldn't sense the other dragons presence, it was probably because he was too tired lately, the sensitive perception was something that both shriller and him needed to activate together in other for it to work. Drage had been separated from shriller during the crash he saw her some meters away and went to check if she was injured, after assurance that she wasn't Drage started to readied himself for the appearance of the firebreather. Fenn stepped down from his dragon and took a good look at young rider opposite him, the boy couldn't be more than 14 years old but from the look in his eyes one could tell he had been forced to mature early. He was thin, black haired and with a pair of black eyes that had a hint of silver lurking beneat his iris. He seemed to be standing protectively in front of his dragon. Fenn found this amusing and somewhat cute, he wanted to have a chat with the boy but from the look in the lad's eyes Fenn decided it would be better to talk to him after he had been immobilized. Drage started thinking of a plan to escape but no good plan that wouldn't involve leaving shriller came to mind. He knew he was no match for the rider in front of him and he had no experience fighting at all. Suddenly a sharp pain in his stomach roused him out of his chaotic thoughts, the firebreather had delivered a strong punch to his stomach. Drage instincts kicked in as he ducked the follow up kick that followed aiming for his head, the kick hit a nearby oak tree instantly splitting it in half. The show of strength made Drage marvel at the riders strength and shuddered thinking about what would have been his fate if he had been hit by that kick, another punch to the face roused him out of his thoughts, Drage tried to punch back but he was too slow and was rewarded with another punch to the shoulder that sent him flying and his hands numb. The numbness completely awakened the fear that Drage had been suppressing and as he saw the rider come closer Drage seemed to have sensed death.
