" I was chatting with a handsome Uncle." Tyler replied, trying to make his voice sound as indifferent as possible. He didn't want his mother catching the excitement he was feeling after getting to receive a promise from the handsome uncle.
Avery was clearly taken aback by her son's words. Her son Tyler was very stingy with compliments, so if he said the guy was handsome, he must truly be handsome .
" Handsome you say?" she inquired, just to make sure her son didn't say the wrong thing.
" Yes, handsome." Tyler confirmed.
" So tell me Tyler, what were you talking about with the handsome uncle?" she probed hoping the ever secretive little lad will spare her even the most minimalistic details about their talk.
" It's a manly talk, nothing involving ladies." Tyler lied with a straight face. His expressions serious. He couldn't let his mother into the content of their talk from earlier. That would definitely ruin his plans. He was dead set on pairing his mother with that handsome stranger.
Nothing could go wrong.
His mother was beautiful and talented, only a handsome man like him was worthy of his mother's hand in marriage.
Although disappointed, Avery did not probe any further. If Tyler was determined to not say anything, nobody or nothing could make him change his mind. Avery knew that about her son.
Even if she kept asking about it, Tyler would definitely not say a word. That's just how resolute the little guy was. Sometimes, it made her feel ashamed of herself.
The two paid for their items and left for home with a cab.
Meanwhile, Inside the luxurious car, Justin had an unreadable expression on his face.
" Does the old man know about my presence in the country?" He asked his personal assistant and secretary who had been reduced to a chauffeur.
" No, he still thinks you are abroad avoiding Miss Jessica." Mark replied.
" I asked a simple question, did you have to include her in your answer?" Justin's displeased voice sounded from behind Mark's ears that he almost jumped.
" I'm sorry boss, forgive my manners." he replied apologetically. If there's anything or anyone Justin hated, that had to be Jessica.
Honestly, Mark could tell why.The lady was a two faced b***h who used her facade to charm the old man Antonio into engaging her to Julio.
Despite Justin warning her severally to stay away from him, she still continued to pester him and his family making him hate her to the core.
If it was before, he would have been deceived by her if he didn't see how she mistreated his daughter in the pretence of bonding with her.
He might not be spending a lot of time with his daughter but she was the most important person in his life.
He just wasn't aware of how to express himself to his daughter. He also felt guilty every time he saw her. She was such a pitiful girl who lacked maternal love since birth.
That was the reason he chose to stay away from her until he found that woman from five years ago. The woman who was capable of giving birth to his child and abandoning her.
He didn't know why she chose to leave the child behind and take off. He wanted to have her infront of him and question her about her heartlessness.
Even after five years, she was nowhere to be seen. That night, the only thing he saw about her was the butterfly tattoo near her left breast. He knew nothing more, not even a name.
He was resting in his hotel room when the door opened and a fair and intoxicating scent hit his nostrils.
He stilled, waiting to see the intention of the intruder.
That's when a soft body climbed on his bed and started provoking him.
From years of being in the business world, he knew that the lady was drugged.
Justin tried fighting the desire ignited by her to no avail. At last, he gave in and they shared a passionate night together.
The following morning however, he woke up to an empty bed. The lady from the previous night had run off after taking advantage of him the whole night.
He was obviously angry at her, that was until he saw the big patch of blood on the sheets. It turned out it was her first time that night.
Justin tried looking for her but was unsuccessful. The security footage that would have helped him was coincidentally missing.
He continued to search for her until nine months later when he received a mysterious call instructing him to go to a certain hospital and collect his daughter.
Of Course that came with a price. He had to pay a huge sum of money before he got to see his daughter.
At first, he had a good impression of the lady but after she demanded money from him in exchange for his daughter, he figured out that maybe all along, that was her main purpose of approaching him.
But his misconception did not stop him from looking for her.
Thinking about her, his heart was filled with feelings of longing and detest.
Despite everything, she was still the only woman he had ever been intimate with so there was a connection between them. There still existed feelings that needed closure between them.
He also hated her for abandoning their daughter after she served her service.
If it's money she wanted, he would have given it to her as long as she stayed by his daughter's side. But she chose to abandon the little angel after getting the money.
" Did you make sure the little boy reunited with her mother?" Justin asked.
He had a good impression of that little brat who seemed determined to match him with her mother.
Something told him that that wasn't going to be the last time they met. For some reason, he was looking forward to seeing the little boy again.
He couldn't wait to see the woman who received such compliments from her son.
