I look at Haven with concern. As I held her today, I saw her eyes change for the first time. Her eyes were pitch black. I know she felt my pain as I held her, but she wasn't ready to let go. I think she feels the mate bond touch along with the pain.
I've made the decision to prepare her for the truth. Haven has the right to know she's an Odessa. The only problem with that is, I can't tell her what she is without explaining about werewolves. Deep down, Haven knows the truth, or she wouldn't be so open to curses being real.
Her subconscious knows the truth. I want to try to trigger those memories. I know it's been five years, but we've hidden so much from her. Maybe mentions of wolves would trigger those memories. Her life before 14 revolved around our world.
